Emotional

While I enjoyed the Pro-life message, it came at the expense of the aboration of two babies (very sad face). While one lady had a very ho-hum attitude about it, the orher was very distraught about her decision which ultimately lead her to the Lord and a relationship with him (happy face). This storyline has a lot of ups and downs, twists and turns and emotions. I did like the overall redemption message, because the Lord loves us no matter what and He will forgive us if we ask.

Where It All Began

This is about Sandra and her boyfriend living together before marriage. Sandra became pregnant and had an abortion. Her boyfriend broke up with her. She meet Henry on a blind date.They fell in love and married. She became saved but found out she could have children. It broke her heart. I loved the story and how it ends I highly recommend listening to this book.

What an emotional read!

So many emotions in this book! It is a good story of forgiveness! I can't say too much or it would be a spoiler so that is the only thing I will say along withit should be on your TBR list.

Heartache & love

I was given a copy of this audio book for an honest review. This sweet, christian romance novel is written by Lorana Hoopes & narrated beautifully by Corry Reynolds. Once again, Lorana delivers a dynamic story that tests the characters beliefs and commitments with a few gut punches. I loved listening to the first book in the Heartbeat series.

Wonderful Christian Story

Loved it. I was laughing in parts and crying in parts. Loved the voice of the narrator.

Amazing book with difficult issues

This book begins with Sandra becoming pregnant and under the advise of her then boyfriend and best friend, she has an abortion. Her life spirals downhill with guilt, alcohol and nightmares of her baby. It deals with many tragic and difficult situations, but ends with God's redeeming love showing through. Sandra and Henry's journey will bury into your heart. Once I started listening to this book, I did not turn it off.

I would highly recommend this book. The narrative is good, the story is both heart-wrenching and beautiful, God's grace is seen, and the narrator is wonderful. I think this should be required reading for late-teens!

Great clean story

This book is wonderful. It tells a story of Sandra who went through an abortion and how it made her feel. It goes futher when later she finds the abortion left her unable to have any children. It is a Christian book so its very clean. Lets you know that God does forgive.

Great Inspirational Christian Book

Sandra is a fulltime nursing student, living with her boyfriend. She isn't religious. She doesn't go to church. She finds herself pregnant and her boyfriend pushes her to get and abortion. She immediately is sorry and starts having bad dreams and turns to alcohal. After the relationship breaks she meets Henry Dobbs a Christian man. They start dating and she goes to church with him and starts to read the bible. She has discussions with Henry. She never feels she is good enough for God to forgive her because of the abortion. Sandra goes through many trials and finally asks God for forgiveness. She finds peace. This is a great story with believable characters. I love how she brings in how God forgives us if you are sincere. I highly recommend this book.

Heart-warming story

Where it All Began is a thought-provoking book in Lorana Hoopes Heartbeats series. And if the rest of the books in the series is as good as this first one, I look forward to reading them. The reader is quickly drawn into the drama of Sandra as she finds she is pregnant, chooses abortion and then lives with the aftermath of grief and guilt. The author seems to have a good handle on the emotions and reactions of an individual (and those around her) who make this choice, making the story realistic and relatable. This is definitely a story of how God can make beauty from ashes which brings hope to each one of us. It is a story of forgiveness and healing that readers who enjoy reading second chance stories will not want to miss Where It All Began. I listened to a complimentary copy of the audiobook and Corry Reynolds does a nice job narrating Sandra's story, making for an enjoyable listening experience.
