I really REALLY wanted to like this book

I love the setup and the first half of the book is enjoyable then it just takes a nosedive (flying joke). The plot loses all cohesiveness and the actions and dialogue of the characters rip through any suspension of disbelief the reader still has. In a sick attempt to give the book a serious tone, the author has the characters discover scenes of hideous cruelty climaxing in the discovery of mutilated infants left to die. These have no impact on the plot, as the characters pretty much ignore them and leave.

Great listen

Enjoyed the story and narrator's voice was very relaxing. although story was long, chapters were short. Made the time pass quickly.

A well done futuristic thriller.

Very much enjoyed the book. Interesting story, enough people to love and enough to hate. Good book.

Really loved this book! I now know how the Maximum Ride series got its start.

Fantastic

Gets your attention from beginning and keeps it until the very end. Best one so far. It’s difficult to keep a listener on track. This one has no problem. Excellent narration.

A surprise

This was absolutely not what I expect when I pick up a James Patterson mystery to read. Parts of it were not developed deeply enough for the sci fi bug in me, but it was basically pleasant.

Interesting story. Definitely worth the read.

The story was interesting. It tied the characters together and explained there interactions. I like the way Patterson tells a story.

I have been wanting this book for years! Sooo glad I was able to get it on Audible Books! I saw the movie and had read a digital copy of one of these books and wanted every book in this series! Interesting plot. Not what I expected.
