Critic reviews

"Blending hardcore military fiction with elements of sociological science fiction à la Alan Dean Foster's Commonwealth saga, this adrenaline-fueled Clancyesque adventure is Dietz in top form." ( Publishers Weekly)

Best ever

Without a doubt this is one of the best written SciFy books of this decade. The author does a superb job of developing the characters, making the reader feel part of the action, and presenting a thoroughly detailed scenario that makes the book one you can't stop listening to.

Getting Better

Much the same as the rest of the series. I think he is getting a little better at building characters, but I still find myself not caring about the characters and what happens. But it is good simple no frills entertainment. He doesn't burden the story with political undertones, or scientific plausibility, both of which can be dreary. It isn't great, but it isn't bad.
