Worth a listen

Not as good as the fist book. Worth listening to if you enjoy the genre.

Fun to listen to but the story was predictable and hokey. The audio effects were good though.

Predictable but a really fun listen

I really enjoyed the book and have recommended it quite a lot recently. It is predictable but the cast is great (as always), the sound effects are phenomenal, and the story from the creature's perspective had me invested.

What a Surprise

Fun book from start to finish, lots and lots of action to keep you interested and even had a good ending

I listened to this one during a free listen promotion and it was well worth the listen.
I have been listening to a bunch of deep sea monster stories and this kept the vibe going.
And now i get to add caves to the list of things i am NEVER going into!!!

Good performance. Not Oscar worthy, but a lot better than a straight narration.

Enjoyed it. Rich audio with narration makes this story fun to listen to. I have dove the Bahamas Blue holes and the writer does a good job describing those environments. But don’t take this story to seriously…

Good equivalent to a B flick monster movie

Thw voice overs and sound effects are great. The story itself is pretty good, if a bit predictable. Typical monster movie behavior by characters who should probably know better. Not a lot of surprises, all things considered. My one real gripe is a minor spoiler :


They spend a decent chunk of time describing Dora, the ROV that they bring to explore the blue holes. Specifically, they mention that it has a waterproof keyboard and monitor on it, so divers can communicate with the operator. Near the end of the book, when Will and Ashley are trapped in the tunnel, and in the process of suffocating, Dora gets sent on, amd they make no mention nor effort to use the keyboard, even when Will picks it up to pan around and show the survivors. He would have to have seen it, ots described as being on the side of the ROV, but neither Will, nor Val or Mack use it. instead, Will uses hand gestures that the others need to interpret. This is probably the weakest part of the whole story.

Satisfactory sea monster lurks

Enjoy this tale of a submarine monster prowling the beautiful touristy tropics.

Unlike the last three “sea monster” books I tried, this ocean yarn is intelligent & fear-filled enough to delight my ocean loving imagination.

It’s reasonably peopled with folks who were just dimensionally/interesting enough that you hoped they might not end up feeding the creature’s monstrous maw.

While suspense raised like dangerous surf swells no overly grotesque details turned a beach campfire tale into “Freddy’s Splatter-Gore Vacation”.

This is a Cinderella sea creature tale:
• 🤪 Not too stupid.
• 🤬 Not too mean spirited.
• 🤮 Not too overly grotesque.
• 👍🏼 Just about right for a proper Chiller-Thriller Creature-Feature!

A fun listen!

This story brings to mind all the old horror movies like, Jaws, Orca, and The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms. It was a great listen and action packed and with a full cast narration just made it even more enjoyable! A perfect summer listen!
