Acerca de esta escucha

The White Lich has conquered Mallon and smashed all resistance to him. Now, he marches on the north. Within weeks, Narashtovik will fall to his armies. Gask will follow.

And after that, there can be no stopping him.

Dante and Blays have a single hope of victory: the Spear of Stars, the long-lost weapon that may be capable of killing the lich. There's just one problem. Though they've learned the spear is real, they've also learned the nine parts of the weapon are guarded by the gods themselves. And they have no intention of handing over their prize.

Alone in a strange realm, with no friends or allies, and a growing list of enemies, Dante and Blays' task looks doomed.

Yet, they're the last line standing between the lich and the destruction of their whole world.

Another great adventure full of twists, turns, prizes, and good camaraderie. I'll be looking for more books from this author.

Another great adventure!

In my opinion this is the best book of the series so far! Let’s go

Best book so far

I immensely enjoyed the story of What Lies Beyond - learning about the gods and the misconceptions that the mortal world had of them was unique. I always wanted to know about Arawn and have Dante meet him ever since the portal did not open in the Cycle of Arawn story. Now there are hints the gods are not done with them yet, and neither is the lich. Most epic in scale and storytelling so far for Robertson.

Great Tale & Narration

so much happens in this exciting adventure with Dante Galand and crew that it was difficult to put down once I began. traveling in the land of the gods, learning the mysteries of their world and beyond. and then the great finale to everything...

Such a good book it was hard to put down

Narration is fantastic. If you love sarcasm and fantastical stories this is great!! Listen to all of them From the Cycle Of Arawn through this one!!

Love the Cycles

This novel did a wonderful job of tying up several long-running storylines. Admittedly, some parts were a little hard to follow as I couldn't remember what the references were to. Who was that guy? Where did that come from? When did THAT happen? But it was still very satisfying to come to a point that didn't feel like a "to be continued" episode. Clearly, there's going to be more to the story... but it's not wrapped up in a thousand years of mythology of the White Lich, and the realm of the gods. As always, Tim Gerard Reynolds does a fantastic job of bringing all the characters to life. I've said several times that one of the best parts of the series is the banter between Dante, Blays and Gladych. And that banter is due in no small party to Tim's wonderful performance.

Fantastic installment of the Galland series.

Will listen to almost anything Tim Gerard Reynolds reads. Also love this whole series The Cycle of Galand.

Awesome

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed this book a lot! The storyline could have probably ended sooner though. I just got board of the villain. I’m also not nearly as interested in the realms of the gods as I am in the fallen lands. I had to take a break from the series before I read this book cause of that. It felt like we were building up so many cool things in the main world, then everything takes a left turn in favor of the new story direction. I miss seeing these characters in their own world, in their own element. I think Dante and Blays need a break from all the other world traveling. Just give the characters some room to breath.

The whole white lich thing went on too long

It was good, don't get me wrong. I just felt like we wrapped up this part of the story too quickly. I mean, we went to another world to get the spear, I figured we'd fight the litch for a book at least. Wrapped it up a little too conveniently and cleanly for my taste. Still, I was entertained - so over all good.

Pretty good
