Brilliant story/writing with brilliant narration!

My first audiobook from Zarah Detand was "You're My Beat", also narrated by the incredibly talented Joel Leslie, and it was so great and so well written I vowed to listen to all of her audio books. This audio was equally as amazing as the first I'd listened to! her writing is so good, there's not one lull or one single place in the entire story where you feel anything is being unnecessarily reiterated. No dead horses beaten anywhere lol. No unnecessary drama, either. The world building, character building, and storytelling are all outstanding! Even the side characters are fantastic and I'd love to hear an epilogue about how everyone is doing, but I know that's not going to happen lol. Now I'm off to see what other books she has on audio because wow, haven't felt that great after reading or listening to a book in a while. Nothing better than an entertaining story that's incredibly well written!

Excellent story with an amazing narrator

Sweet romance. Slow burn with a lot of background story. The main characters are lovely and Joel Leslie does a wonderful job of bringing them to life.

Wear it Like A Crown is one of my favorite books to read when it came out in Audible I was so thrilled that Joel was going to read it Seriously what’s not to love about prince falling in love with an amazing guy This has it all romance ,laughter and sexy times as well as some seriously sad moments. It made me think about life on the streets or when your family rejects you who you are and what happensIt was also a joyous book because today we can read this and realize society is changing and hopefully soon no one will care who anyone loves

Good stuff

The relationship and development of the characters was great. Leo and Joshua will stay with me for a while. Hopefully there is a second book!

Both characters had depth

This was a really great book! The writing was excellent and the narration was of course fantastic. The characters were multidimensional and really struggled with real world issues. I will say certain sections dragged a little and it felt at one point like a forced misunderstanding. At the same time if you think about trauma our actions don’t always make sense. Really highly recommend. I will definitely be listening to this one a few more times
