About this listen

From number one New York Times best-selling author Vi Keeland comes a new, sexy stand-alone novel.

Bennett Fox walked into my life on one hell of a crappy Monday morning.

I was late for the first day at my new job - a job I’d now have to compete for, even though I’d already worked eight years to earn it, because of an unexpected merger.

While I lugged my belongings up to my new office, a meter maid wrote me a parking summons. She’d ticketed a long line of cars - except for the Audi parked in front of me, which happened to be the same make and model as mine.

Annoyed, I decided to regift my ticket to the car that had evaded a fine. Chances were the owner would pay it and be none the wiser. Except, I accidentally broke the windshield wiper while slipping the ticket onto the car’s window. Seriously, my day couldn’t get any worse.

Things started to perk up when I ran into a gorgeous man in the elevator. We had one of those brief moments that only happens in movies. You know the deal...your body lights up, fireworks go off, and the air around you crackles with electricity. His heated stare left me flush when I stepped off the elevator. Maybe things here wouldn’t be so bad after all. Or so I thought.

Until I walked into my new boss’s office and met my competition. The gorgeous man from the elevator was now my nemesis. His heated stare wasn’t because of any mutual attraction. It was because he’d saw me vandalize his car. And now, he couldn’t wait to annihilate his rival.

There’s a fine line between love and hate - and we shouldn’t cross it. We shouldn’t - but straddling that line could be so much fun.

Love it!

I love this story! I needed something light but not a comedy. We Shouldn't fit the bill. I like that both characters acted like adults and didn't jump to conclusions at every turn.

There were some sad moments that the characters worked through individually and together. The secondary characters fit perfectly in the story. They add dimension and growth. I love, love the epilogue.

You can never go wrong with an audio book narrated by Sebastian York, Andi Arndt. They add to the enjoyment and understanding of the characters and story.

A must buy!

Great storyline, even better narration!

Great story - Vi Keeland is becoming one of my favorite authors and who doesn't love the narration team of Sebastian and Andi.

Really enjoyed this one!

I really liked this book! I've only read a few of Vi Keeland's books and so far I haven't been disappointed.

Annalise and Bennett had really great chemistry and I loved watching them come together. The angst was pretty minimal because both of them acted like adults and actually talked their stuff out. It was a really nice change of pace from the typical miscommunication type of situations.

I really liked both characters as a whole. Annalise was a really good person. She conducted herself with integrity and I absolutely loved that about her. She wasn't a catty woman by any stretch of the imagination, but she also didn't allow anyone to railroad her. It was really admirable.

Bennett was also a great character. He had his faults, but most of it stemmed from his guilt. I loved how he cared so much for Lucas and didn't let anything come in the way of his relationship with him. I also loved the respect he had for Annalise and their relationship. The two of them were just a really great couple.

The narration was great! Sebastian York did a great job, as usual. I just love his voice and he's one of the reasons I picked this one up. Andi Arndt is not one of my go-to narrators, but I do enjoy her narrations,

Overall, this was a great book. The story line flowed really well and I was engaged the whole time. I'm going to be looking at her other books now that they're all in AE.

Good book... not slow

I really liked it... it was your typical love story... I hate you... I love you... I hate you... I love you. But it had some pretty good sex scenes and the story line was pretty good. It kept my attention.

Oh yes, we SHOULD! And, you should too

This was seriously my first VI Keeland book. I have read her work when paired with Penelope Ward in their duet books, but I have no idea why I never downloaded a Vi Keeland book solo. SMH... what I have been missing! This book ended up in my audio suggestions and I said, hey why not... and I am SO glad I did. Not only do you have world class narrators like Andi Arndt and Sebastian York, but you also have world class writing. It was a great book. Other than 1 small geographical glitch as far as distances go between LA and SF and north and south, and Californians you will pick this up early in the book... the Up to LA vs down to LA and 5 hours ... otherwise, the writing and ad agency jargon was flawless. And, the sideline characters were a treat to break up the intensity. I loved the build-up to the first go-round of sex as well as the progression of both characters to get closer and especially the growth of Bennett, our "here" as well as the quirks of Annaliese. It was a 5-star "read" or in my case, listen. Now, I gotta download more Vi Keeland books! I've been missing a lot!!

Awesome!

I loved so much about this book. The characters were both simple and complex. The story line was really good with moments that could truly happen in real life, thus making it relatable. I love when the main couple in a book are put through hard situations thus making them more grateful for each other. Well done Vi Keeland, Sebastian York, and Andi Arndt. Loved it!
