Doctor David Lephmann wants nothing more than to learn about and help the less fortunate, and his new post at Mercy Hospital is the perfect place to do both. His mentor is desperate for the help, and welcomes him to a world of nonhuman customs and strange magics.
One night after a long day at the hospital, David is confronted by the reality of life among monsters, when he intervenes in a fight he knows nothing about. He takes a side, and his life is changed forever.
Sorely wounded, he is thrust into a world of violence and mistrust. With no way back to his old life, he must fight for a place in the new one he's been plunged into, but David has never had to fight for anything in his life. Can he survive the challenge?

What made the experience of listening to Way of the Wolf: Shifter Legacies 1 the most enjoyable?
The Narrator and the way he can draw you into the story. What about Mikael Naramore’s performance did you like?
He did an amazing job as always. He really brings each character to life and is able to immerse the reader into the story. Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No because it's simply too long!! It's over 18hrs long so I knew it would take a while to listne to.Any additional comments?
This book is a complex story told from multiple points of view but one I thoroughly enjoyed. I'm not going to say anything about the plot because I will probably spoil something because so much happens, but what I will say is it's a slow building plot but one that is explosive and thrilling. There is so much happening simultaneously that at times it's hard to see what it means to the overall story but believe me when I say that it all comes together in the end!!As always, Mark E Cooper delivers an amazing book. His world building and character development are phenomenal and he puts so much thought in his books. I can understand some of the reviewers saying that there are too many POVs, but personally I really enjoyed it because it added more to the story. It's a book that you need to stick with in order to understand fully.
I listened to the audio and the narrator delivers again. Michael Narramore does an awesome job voicing each character but I think David is my favourite. He really brings them to life.
Im really looking forward to book 2.
A Complex and Intriguing Read.

The story should be about him. The additional books could be added into this series from each of the four characters' stories. Additional characters are welcome in this series.
Since I have given this as an audiobook, I did get lost with the narrator announced Part 2. I did think there was an error in the audio recording of this book. Revealing the each of the other four characters' stories were a bit confusing to size into the first book.
The story is quite good but too much in one story, might not be a very good idea. The lesson learned in this story, is that biases exist. It doesn't matter what the person look like. It also shows that being different can close opportunity. That is what happens to David.
I was given this audiobook by the author via Audio Blast. I was not compensated or influence in any way for writing the review.

Would you listen to Way of the Wolf: Shifter Legacies 1 again? Why?
Yes. The story was rich and like any good book or movie, there are subtle details you miss on the first pass. I know I will find more details I missed in subsequent reads and the story is good enough to warrant the attentionWhat did you like best about this story?
I liked the tie-ins with some of the Dresdeon canon. I also liked how much of the book was told from the viewpoint of the "monsters" and their complex societies.Which scene was your favorite?
I think my favorite scene was when David was infected with lycanthropy. Here you have a guy that found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time and his life completely changed, and in ways that were not readily apparent at the time. Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Oh yes. Once the story got going, I found myself spending every spare moment listening to it.Any additional comments?
I was introduced to this author through a free e-book giveaway. I took advantage of that to get the audiobook for $2. I'm glad I did and now I have a new author to add to my queue. I've just ordered the second bookReminiscent of Dresden Files

Is there anything you would change about this book?
I would change the flow of it. The book jumped between multiple stories, making it difficult to follow. Most of the time I felt I was missing something that didn't exist yet. What was most disappointing about Mark E. Cooper’s story?
How difficult it was to keep up with. I had to back track many times, because I felt I was missing things.Have you listened to any of Mikael Naramore’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes. I liked him then, and I like him now. I plan on listening to more of his titles after this. I love his accents.Do you think Way of the Wolf: Shifter Legacies 1 needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Yes, there's more story to be told.Any additional comments?
I was given the audible version in exchange for an honest review.3 Platypires
