Publisher's summary

The writings of the wisdom literature books are varied. They are linked only in terms of their common author, but even that is not always a given. Still, most of the writings of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Solomon are penned by the wise King of Israel, and from his words, we learn much.

The Book of Proverbs imparts practical wisdom that still enlightens us today, despite being thousands of years removed from their original writing. Ecclesiastes offers tremendous insight into the human experience, and reminds us that all the pursuits of this world, if they are lived without God at the center, are wasted and vain. The Song of Solomon illustrates true love between man and bride. We see their tenderness, their physical attraction, and their emotional vulnerability with one another, and we come to appreciate what a Godsend it is when two people share a life together in matrimony.

In all, these three books are vital pieces to the greater Biblical whole. It’s a blessing to have them. They convey wisdom, insight, and godly humanity, all of which are qualities desperately needed in the world today.

I pray their study is, and continues to be, a benefit to your soul. God bless.
