Great series

Love her books! Good Christian romance thrillers and the gal who reads them does a remarkable job.

I liked the protagonists very much

I so appreciate that this series is clean and positive, even though it deals with crime and has romance. I wish there were a rating system for books that would help me make better decisions about what to buy. Now for the review.

The male protagonist who was an MMA fighter and a doctor made for an interesting combination. I liked that he knew how to fight but was an extremely compassionate man. I liked that both male and female protagonists were kind people who wanted to help others. This gave me a great feeling as I listened, and I appreciated the dopamine hit, positive vibes.

However, there were a few problems. We don’t see the MMA fighter doing any practice or feeling at all anxious about that. He doesn’t work out stress by exercising. This lack made the character feel less real. Also, I felt the plot was extremely cliche, with many over-used tropes. The most cliche was as an Italian crime family whose son was named Tony. Really? Finally, the book had so many villains that the final plot resolution did not come until the last 10 minutes which always annoys me. I need time to mentally process the book and say goodbye to the characters. Abrupt endings do not allow for this. It would have been nice to hear about other characters from past books since most all of them are cousins.

Overall, the book is a diversion and very well preformed. Again, the reader is excellent.
