About this listen
Lily Sprayberry Solves Crimes...
And sets up murders?
As cozy mystery enthusiasts know all too well, sometimes even the most idyllic small towns can have a dark side. I never would have guessed that I'd find myself at the center of a murder investigation, but that's exactly where I am.
Now, let me set the record straight: I didn't do it. But my recommendation for a handyman to fix up the late Buck Haverty's place has landed someone else in hot water. I can't shake the feeling that Bubba, the accused, is being set up.
Unfortunately, my sheriff husband isn't convinced. He's warned me to stay out of it, but when have I ever been good at following orders? As I start to dig deeper into the case, I find myself facing some seriously shady characters who are none too pleased with my meddling.
Thankfully, I've got a secret weapon: the cozy and quirky residents of Bramblett County. Sure, most of them are retired and like to spend their afternoons sipping sweet tea at Millie’s, the local gossip and grub hangout, but don't let their age fool you. These seniors have plenty of tricks up their sleeves, and they're not afraid to use them to help me solve this mystery and clear Bubba's name.
So, despite the danger, I'm ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work. After all, justice must be served, and I'm not one to back down from a challenge, even if it means putting myself in harm's way.

Lana Fleming’s sister has vanished from the set of TV’s hottest show, and no one seems to care. Desperate for answers, Lana sneaks in as an extra, only to get stranded with Griffin Hart, an A-list action star with a reputation for good abs and bad decisions. Though Griffin didn’t expect to be cast as a librarian’s sidekick in a real-life thriller, he’s weirdly into it—and into her. Even more unsettling—she sees right through his playboy persona. But their meet-cute soon turns deadly when they uncover a Hollywood scandal for the ages.

When Lily Sprayberry and her friends decided to have a cookie baking girl’s night, the last thing they expected to find was one of Santa’s helpers dead in the walk in freezer of Millie’s Café. “The interpersonal relationships between the characters were outstanding!” Amazon Reviewer “Filled with sweet, Southern charm!” Amazon Reviewer There’s a battle going on in Bramblett County, Georgia, and Realtor Lily Sprayberry is in the thick of it. Welcome to my idyllic, small, Southern town, Bramblett County, where even the quietest Monday mornings can take a deadly turn. I never expected to find my feisty and cantankerous older client, Myrtle Redbecker, lying lifeless on her kitchen floor - and with a cast-iron skillet as the weapon, no less. As if that wasn't bad enough, I ...

Needs an Upgrade on Virtual Voice
I got this series because of the story line and I was curious, that being said there was a few disappointments for me.
1. the virtual voice was a HUGE let down for me. It lacked the lilt for expression that I enjoy with a regular narrator.
2. I found the story often difficult to follow because the virtual voice didn't change the tone from one character to the next making it difficult to know who was speaking between characters. (ie 2 different females) Sometimes I had to rewind to listen again so I didn't miss a clue/or a conversation. Both funny one liners and sarcasm was lost due to poor virtual voice not having any sense of timing, or lilt in the reading - Think of it like Alexa reading you the newspaper -
3. Nothing is worse that getting a series and Audible doesn't identify which is book it is in the series. There is nothing in the titles to identify book 1 and book 2, etc etc etc - nor does it provide the link to follow the next in the series so you don't know how many books are in the series or what the name of the next book is - I find it annoying if I buy books and have them all but don't know the order - what's the point of getting the series if you don't know the order or how many in the series?
