About this listen

The church becomes more divided each day.

Many seek reassurance or perceived unity by creating doctrinal statements, but that misses the point. Doctrine is necessary, but it is not the solution.

In his new book Until Unity, New York Times best-selling author Francis Chan tells listeners that the real problem is shallow or even nonexistent love for each other. Do we truly understand the gospel? Do we believe in the miracle of the Holy Spirit in us? As believers, Christians are supposed to yield the fruit of supernatural love for one another. Instead, we allow jealousy and selfish ambition to prevail.

God hates this division between his children - and our indifference to it. He has provided the solution to the church through gifting of leaders to equip his people in a way that leads to “unity of the faith” - but not at the expense of truth or holiness. Believers have done a poor job at this, but we can hear the call and be “eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (Ephesians 4:3).

Although the Bible commands unity, some will resist these unifying efforts. We see it every day. We have to hate sin, love truth, and pursue unity for the church. This is messy, but no matter what, Christians must give everything they have to the pursuit of a unified, restored Bride.

I feel my heart moving and the spirit moving when I read this book. I’m challenged and brought to my knees in prayer. Prayer for the church our community, and in my home wife my wife and kids. Thank you for your heart Francis. Thank you for your humility. God bless

I am blown away. I could not stop listening. I am left convicted. This is a must read for any Christian who longs for the peace of God to reign in the life of the Church.

Very convicting plea from one of God’s prophets that is critical for those who love and care for the Body of Christ. Very helpful insight for prioritizing our heart’s desires in serving God and the impact to the world that results. May God forgive our unwillingness to love and repair relationships and may the Holy Spirit give us love for each other.

Needed conviction!

Francis Chan continues in his bold plea to the modern church to wake up to what has become of the western Christian church. A plea of unity while so many leaders continue to divide over secondary issues often lead by ulterior motives of self-promotion and self-righteous thinking. A must read for all who are serious about the gospel and reaching the world as a united front.

Inspiring towards self examination

A much needed message on a touchy topic.
The writer reads the book...his voice sometimes sounds stretched...but that's just Francis Chan. Another thought provoking, easy to read, short book to make you check yourself.

A message worth hearing.

This book is a strong reminder of who we are to be in Christ. It gives help in navigating real life dealing with sin in ourselves and others. It is a call to unity relying on the Holy Spirit for fruit and discernment of which people, ideas, and organizations one actually can be in unity with.

Christian Must Read

It’s been a while since I’ve read something that has impacted my life in such a way. Full of scripture, this book is not just convicting but also inspirational. I find myself checking my attitude and choices on a regular basis. The author has a way of making the intimate words of Jesus Christ come alive.
I heartily recommend this to anyone desiring a closer relationship with the Lord.

A Must-Read

Unity in an unbelievably fractured nation and world? Unity in the universal body of Christ with its thousands of body parts at war against each other, to the point of shooting their own wounded? Chan gives the church the prescription for every believer in the hospital called "church". Rx = be a Spirit filled person, and unity will follow.
