Nailed it.
An incredibly thoughtful and well laid out approach to goalsetting. Along with fascinating anecdotes from Alden’s career in Naval Special Warfare. He is obviously at the mastery level of human performance, but the narration comes across like an encouraging and supportive coach with just a touch of BUD/S instructor. It makes for a very compelling and inspiring read. Very well done!

Uncomfortable & Unstoppable
The craggy voice….the visceral steeliness earned through smashing life challenges….provides the calm assurance that you can accomplish the most important skill in life…an Unstoppable Mindset. Alden is an amazing human being, a friend, a mentor, competitor, fellow oarsman, warrior, champion, business man, philosopher, and a great teacher. He is the embodiment of this book, the example, that is both the origin and outcome. You will find your own “oars” to propel you forward on your OTH goal. You will get “blisters” and develop calluses on the journey. Read, or listen, through once as a novel, then go back and read it as a text book, follow the lessons on how to be comfortable being uncomfortable. Actionable Intelligence
Always on-message, the author draws on his extensive leadership experience in the military, private sector and philanthropy in this highly approachable and enjoyable book. Alden's mission is to build up the reader to overcome obstacles and achieve goals, and he accomplishes it helping the reader build and maintain an "unstoppable mindset." He has spent an enormous amount of time thinking about this topic and helping others turn his lessons into action, and it shows in the product which is filled with concrete examples and useful tools. I went back and forth between the print and audible versions (the latter read by the author) -- it's a great listen as well as a read. Well worth the time!

Outstanding Book!
As a self development book enthusiast It is refreshing to come across a new offering in the sea of self-help books, and ‘Unstoppable Mindset’ by Alden Mills is one of the best I’ve read. From his Navy SEAL background and the creation of the Perfect Push-Up (yes he is the inventor) Mills infuses individual passion and creativity in a guide that is both motivational and full of tangible and actionable steps.
What makes this book different from other motivational books is that it provides practical information and tips so you can apply the information in your everyday life. Mills not only urges you to become unstoppable but demonstrates how to do it. In each chapter, he describes his own experiences and that of other people who faced adversities. These stories are not only motivational, but more importantly are coupled with frameworks and strategies that can be implemented in the real world to help towards achieving a goal right away.
Perhaps one of the greatest features of “Unstoppable Mindset’ is that Mills does not merely describe his techniques but accompanies them with easily memorable acronyms. These acronyms make it simple to remember, engage and implement his techniques in everyday life, so the concepts are not put to rest once you finish reading the book. When making decisions on difficult issues I already find myself asking if my choice will be “helpful or hurtful” to my end goal, many times a day (just one of the many techniques he teaches).
In contrast with many self-help books that can be divided into motivation books on one hand and how-to books on the other, “Unstoppable Mindset” is a balance of both. Whether it be focusing on one’s career, physical fitness, or overcoming life issues, this book equips the reader with a roadmap on how to achieve one’s goals.
I also thoroughly enjoyed the forward. written by a childhood friend of Aldens and CEO of a major law firm. The forward provides a bit of background on Alden and the benefits the CEO has seen from working closely and applying the techniques in the book. Overall, I highly recommend the book for anybody who is aiming for success in any aspect of his or her life. This is a very inspirational book because Alden Mills has not only shared interesting stories but also useful tips.
