But when a young woman is murdered, the web of secrecy protecting Hollowgrove begins to unravel, revealing a network of illegal activity that has gone undeterred for decades. It’s up to Buck and his small band of loyal officers to do what no one has been able to do before: stop this empire of crime before anyone else dies. But time is running out, and the ruthless operators will stop at nothing to keep their secrets buried.

Thoughtful and nuanced

Several excellent series by this author. I always look forward to her next stories when they’re available on Audible. Good health and more stories pls!

I would have given it 5 stars but for the unnecessary use of God’s name in swearing

Love this series, but I wish there was more dog involvement

Love Buck’s character and his strong wife. The whole small town thing is sort of cliche, but Donna ball pulls it off.
