Helpful Advice
I got this for my teenage son who’s been really anxious in some social situations—school, parties, even texting sometimes. We started going through it together, and he actually wants to do the exercises. It's helping him feel less alone and more capable, which is huge. He is not suddenly the center of attention, but I’ve seen him start to open up and try new things. Definitely a step in the right direction.

Solutions for Socially Awkward Teens
If you know a teen who is struggling socially, this book will help them. It empowers teens faced with the twin challenges of introversion and social anxiety to find their confidence and build their own social world. The casual approach and informal tone make it relatable and its focus on action and reflection to make it practical.
I like how comprehensive this book is. It contains the vital information teens need to know as they make their social journey. From the basics of how to make introductions and interpret social cues to navigating complex high school social hierarchies and learning how to maintain friendships, it artfully answers important questions.
The truly empowering part of the book is the way the author teaches teens that they don’t have to be a different person to have a fulfilling social life they just need to understand themselves and work with their unique strengths.

Real Tips, real solutions
My child struggles with social anxiety his whole life, especially now in his teenage years. This guide helps him work through these issues and he’s grateful for the exercises. I like the one that talks about how to start conversations without overthinking it. It gives him actual steps to use in real life and not just random advice. If you’re a parent looking for something to help your child, this is a great start. It is short but super easy to follow.

Actually helpful without being cringey (a rare win
I got this for my little brother, but I ended up listening with him—and honestly, it’s way better than I expected. It doesn’t talk down to you or feel cheesy like some “teen” books do. The tips were actually useful, especially the stuff about handling anxiety before talking to people or giving a presentation. My brother said it made things feel less overwhelming at school and even helped him make a new friend. If social stuff makes you freeze up, this one’s definitely worth checking out.

From wallflower to social butterfly
I bought this for my timid 15-year-old son, who would rather do anything than talk to peers. To my surprise, he listened to it independently after I introduced the first chapter on our drive to school.
The public speaking techniques helped him survive his dreaded class presentation with newfound confidence. He's been practicing the conversation starters at lunch and finally joined a club last week - something he'd refused to consider before.
The practical exercises make this different from the usual "just be yourself" advice. Best investment I've made in his high school experience
