This book was a roller-coaster I didn't want to get off. Never guessed the ending.

Such a Great Listen!

Well that took an unexpected turn... But in the best ways!

Samantha is the best at writing stories that will draw you in and keep a hold of you. I love her way that she writes her characters and they are not all perfect!

Jaxon and Nicky have such a heartbreaking story, but it is one you don't want to miss! I loved that you can see the growth of the characters during your read of their story.

These two have so much love, and it is second chance romance at it's best!
I really enjoyed the way this book unfolded and it is not like the others.. I love that you get a little something extra in this one!

I am loving the Calloway Brothers!! These guys are awesome!!

Soulmates

Jaxon and Nicky are soulmates who fell in love at thirteen. Growing pains of a young married couple, then heartbreak of divorce wreck these two.
Unfinished Ex is a heartbreaking tearjerker but also so witty and funny it made my heart sing! Thank you Samantha for creating these masterpiece stories with HEA in the most brilliant and unexpected ways.
The narration is phenomenal and breathes even more life into the book. Well done!

I always love listening to Samantha’s books come to life and Kelsey and Tim did an amazing job!

Enjoyed but…

I gave this story four stars bc it was a decent story. The story flow well even though I didn’t care for the H. It was tough to swallow when his ex with “ benefit” partner got pregnant and his ex wife too. It was weird to listen between these three characters inter actions. This was different take between the main characters and not kind of romance I would choose. I’ve listened other stories from this author and that’s the reason i choose this. Compare from her other work, this was my least favorite. I purchased when it was on sale. So sad that it will sit in my library.

Not her usual

Normally I love these books maybe it was the narrator but just seemed far-fetched and not her normal writing I think the guy narrator threw me off sometimes that makes or breaks a story

Jaxon and Nicole

This has a few twists and turns that will have you wondering what happens next. Thru laughter and tears. Truth and lies revealed, it brings all the emotional baggage Jaxon and Nicole have kept from each other. I love a second chance romance . This is an enjoyable story to listen to.
Kelsey Navarro brings out the sassiness of Nicole, the snarky Calista.
Tim Paige is perfect for Jaxon, he plays him perfectly.. Both bring this story to life with their animated, emotional narration.

Very different

Did not like the ending. This was not a good blending of families, felt creepy.

KU borrow and Audible purchase. Dual POV. Second chance romance. Both narrators read well. This is book 2 in the Calloway Brothers trilogy (although it seemingly has a second series title as well: The Brothers of Calloway Creek). While this is listed as a standalone in a trilogy it really isn't a standalone. In order to really follow Samantha Christy's stories you have to start with her first trilogy: The Mitchell Family, then continue reading all of her trilogies in publication order. Content warnings: cheating; miscarriage; high risk pregnancy; pregnant OW drama; divorce; sexism in the work place; underage drinking; ice storm causes an injury; long-standing rivalry between two families.

Jaxon and Nicky fell for each other as teenagers, went to college together, got married, and while pursuing their dream careers they were ultimately led on different paths. Jaxon is a math teacher and the football coach for his hometown high school in New York, and Nicky is a meteorologist in Oklahoma. The day they each receive their divorce decree Nicky is offered a temporary position close to her hometown for a meteorologist going on maternity leave. Jaxon has a friend-with-benefits who has been waiting for his divorce to go through. To say this story is chaotic is an understatement. It had potential but the story just fell apart, I felt bad for all of the characters because the author made them all suffer. Where is the real Samantha Christy? JP

Not my favorite

This was not one of my favorites at all just personal preference I normally read just to have the fantasy of all the lovey-dovey things that you don’t always get in real life real life can really suck sometimes and this book you have a lot of real life that can Just not for me.
