Unable to find another gig, Devi cant pay rent and is evicted from her apartment. She must now stay with a friend who lives in the same gated community as her nemesis, Joleen Hunt.

Joleen Hunt would rather crunch numbers than attend social events. Hence, she allows her girlfriend, influencer Candice Delight to run her nightclub. This was an excellent book

I loved the MC, especially Devine, she was written well. I prefer books in 3rd person usually but I have enjoyed this book very much, especially the drama… Narration was OK both the best but OK.

Inclusive

Detailed, visual, and gives an awesome glimpse into metropolitan/California living. It’s fun to read/listen to a story that feels written by an author who has a lived experience of the setting portrayed. This book is very inclusive and has characters that identify with different sapphic/LGBTQIA facets. Drama, friend circle, enemies to lovers, mental health, failing, and learning that sometimes what we expect of ourselves, can be too much!!! Much more than a love story, it’s also about finding and loving yourself! ❤️🌸😻

Unusual storyline but I liked how each chapter rotated from one MC to the other.

I had a hard time following the storyline in the beginning, but it seemed to level out throughout the book and the ending brought things together. It was a new narrator for me but I thought she did a great job.

Wonderful characters on a wild ride

D.A. Hartman has a gift for painting a world with quirky characters in difficult situations and revealing their tender hearts. Despite the connection Devi and Joleen initially feel, a manipulator in their midst causes an enormous rift, and it's a wild ride to find their way back. Along the way, we meet the curious community of folks who unabashedly embody so many human variations and who bring such love and support to the group. This is such a fun, creative tale and so easy to listen to the story unfold.

Not your run-of-the-mill romance

This story is complex, chaotic, messy and remarkable. A roller coaster of a ride with a memorable and eclectic group of queer characters. It’s a journey of twists and turns where dreams can come true. Ticket to ride=one credit. Enjoy!
