Kids Today

"For all we know, this is some whacked-out haggis flu..."

I haven't been a teenager in more than 20 years; I don't know if kids today really talk the way they do in this novel, but I'd like to think so.

It's not deep or groundbreaking, but I had a lot of fun listening to Undead. It's a classic zombie story, with a group of high schoolers (a loser, a rebel, a geek and a teen queen) in an isolated area, fighting off the undead and making lots of snappy comments as they do it. There's some teenage angst, but not too much. A touch of romance, but nothing sappy.

The narration is solid, though I felt some of the more sarcastic lines could do with a bit more zing.

Will there be a sequel? The ending certainly hints at one. The final hour raises lots of questions. I just wish the major revelation about the source of the infection didn't feel so hastily tacked on and was explained more convincingly and thoroughly. But this is the only real flaw I found in the book.

Funny YA Zombie Book

This book was really funny for the subject matter. Kind of Shaun of the Dead meets Twilight. The narrator has a British accent which kind of threw me, since the main character, Bobby is a person who just moved to Great Britain from the US. She keeps forgetting to call french fries "chips" but she has a heavy English accent. The story was pretty standard, but wholly entertaining. Short(just over 7 hours), but I found myself laughing out loud a few times. Not worth a credit, but worth paying cash.

Good zombie story

It is narrated by a scottish lady, but you get used to the accent pretty quick. Typical survivor story, with a picked on heroine, but she is tough and turns into a good leader. The ending was kind of abrupt, wondering if there are plans for a sequel.

Great Light Listen - Didn't go to bed until 3

All the great elements of a good, light (if in the zombie world there is such a thing), zombie thriller. Suspense, well narrated, and pretty funny in places. This is not just for young adults and would make a fantastic listen on the road.

Waste of money.......Great Narrator

Undead is the worst Zombie story ever.... It was agony to listen all the way through...What a waste of time........... The Narrator was great! She did the best she could with this JUNK!!!
It was boring, the plot was awful, and the Characters were just weak...
