Half a century later, this book is still amazingly relevant today

Great words by Shirley Chisholm on equality, civil rights, and the incongruences of the American political system. As we embark on a new federal election (with a woman candidate fronting the Democratic Party), this book is still so relevant, with so many of the issues brought to light almost half a century ago continue to persist in the world today. Great narrator as well—vigorous just like I imagine Mrs. Chis would have sounded like.

This was great

Chisholm was ahead of her time with her beliefs. While I don’t agree with all of her points (though I’m aligned with most), I will say that she embodied what a politician should be — dedicated to the people who elected them.

The narration was great, like the narrator was projecting Chisholm’s voice.
