About this listen

There is no bigger issue for healthy infants than sleeping through the night. In this simple, straightforward book, Suzy Giordano presents her amazingly effective "Limited-Crying Solution" that will get any baby to sleep for twelve hours at night - and three hours in the day - by the age of twelve weeks old.

Giordano is the mother of five children and one of the most sought-after baby sleep specialists in the country. The Washington Post calls her a baby sleep "guru" and "an underground legend in the Washington area for her ability to teach newborns how to achieve that parenting nirvana: sleeping through the night." Her sleep plan has been tested with singletons, twins, triplets, babies with special needs, and colicky babies - and it has never failed.

Whether you are pregnant, first-time parents, or parents who seek a different path with your second or third child, anyone can benefit from the Baby Coach's popular system of regular feeding times, twelve hours of sleep at night and three hours of sleep during the day, and the peace of mind that comes with taking the parent and child out of a sleep-deprived world.

Please note: This book has also been published under the title The Baby Sleep Solution: A Proven Program to Teach Your Baby to Sleep Twelve Hours a Night.

PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying PDF will be available in your Audible Library along with the audio.

Easy listen and good information.

Great tips and guide on how to get your baby on a schedule to sleep through the night. Liked that the PDFs are available to download so that I can see the examples that were discussed. Narrated very well.

This book brought sanctuary to our nights!

I used these methods for both my children-- they slept through the night since 10weeks old. And still do to this day! Highly recommended! My tips-- FOLLOW THE TRAINING- and it WORKS!

Worked great. She’s now 26 months

People are always surprised to hear our 6 month and 26 month have always slept through the night (with the exception of the first months).

They have always been very healthy and my boy is very big.

Most of the negative reviews and the people that talk about malnourishment seem to have not read the book or have an issue comprehending.

IT WORKS!

Any additional comments?

This method is amazing and it totally works. I started this method and my son was sleeping 12 hours through the night by the time he was 7 weeks old. I did have to allow him to cry it out a bit but he was able to learn to self-soothe! He wakes up smiling and happy and so do I!

WOW!!

I am so amazed by Twelve Hours Sleep by Twelve Weeks Old. It's a true gift! I ordered the audiobook because I had zero time to balance baby, life and schedules and it was the best thing I could have done! I would take my 5 week old daughter for a two hour car ride each day so I knew I could plug in the audio version and be good to listen to it for at least that long. By the time we got home, I felt empowered and excited to implement the skills I had learned. Just so happened that our arrival home coincided with her next feeding. Just like Suzy suggested, I did what I was taught and no joke.... I had to pinch myself because by the first real feeding, something was working!! I can't wait to implement my tool box! Thank you for such a great book! #lifesavor

Amazing advice in this book!!

This book saved me from sleep deprivation. As an OBGYN physician I returned to work at 12 weeks and was healthy and well rested to do so because of this book! I highly recommend it to my patients when they are approaching their due date so they can thrive once their baby comes home from the hospital. It’s a “MUST READ!”

It’s alright, but there are some parts that are not supported by evidence

I’m still pregnant with my first, but since absolutely everything with this pregnancy was planned in advance, I thought it would be good to start making plans for after baby arrives too.

I have read several books on how to get babies to sleep and they all had similar advice: feed your baby on a schedule and don’t pick them up if they’re crying unless they actually NEED something (so they don’t develop the bad habit of crying when they’re bored or just want to be held).

The part of the book that I have a problem with is the author claiming that babies must sleep in their own room. This is not supported by evidence, but based on the author’s own cultural practices. I read another book about parenting habits around the world. In that book they reviewed customs in Japan (as well as many other countries) and highlighted that Japanese babies sleep through the night sooner than others BECAUSE they sleep with their parents. That book actually provided data to back their claim, citing several studies on the subject. This book provides no data to back their claims, just anecdotes from the author’s personal experience.

I think it’s best to read several books on the subject and see what they all have in common as opposed to what’s different. Hopefully, that is where the real solution can be found. I guess I’ll find out soon enough.

Glad I listened to this before the baby was born

Would you listen to Twelve Hours' Sleep by Twelve Weeks Old again? Why?

Yes, this is a practical guide to sleep training your baby. It was so valuable.

Any additional comments?

Quick listen with a ton of useful information. Listen before you have your baby to learn some of the bad habits to avoid in the beginning, so when you are ready to start sleep training, you won't have to break those habits.
