Easy read

Easy read, good drama. If your looking for a book to read and not think this is a good one.

Needs a different narrator.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I think book would have been well served by having had a different narrator. I'm about an hour into the book, and even though I've read this story before (and enjoyed it), I'm having a hard time with the audio version. The narrator seems to have a very small range of character voices at her disposal, and that makes it hard to tell who is who. On top of that, there is very little inflection in the voices, so it's hard to tell if the character is feeling remorse, excitement, concern, interest, etc.

Would you be willing to try another book from Nora Roberts? Why or why not?

Sure - I read a lot of Nora Roberts books. I'd give another one a chance.

I have read much better book by Nora Roberts. Hated that I wasted the money on the download.

Good Story, Terrible Narration

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

It was a good story, but the narration made it diffcult to listen to and follow. It sounded like one big run on sentence. The character voices lacked any feeling and it was read way too fast.

How could the performance have been better?

It needed to be read slower and with more emotion

It inspired me never to get an audiobook with this narrator again.

Great portrayal of life on the track. Kept me totally interested. loved it. Can't wait to hear another one.

Choppy Editing

What disappointed you about True Betrayals?

Unexplained time jumps, assumes the listener will fill in the gaps. Hard to believe the progression of the relationships and the plot.

Since none of them were well developed any one of them could be cut.

Where is the rest!?

This is one of my absolute favorite books by Nora but this audiobook version is awful! All of the book is missing! Where did it go?! All the good parts are just left out!

This book is NOT unabridged!

I would have never purchased this if I knew it was not unabridged. Terrible cut up of a really good story. I am returning this. Very disappointed. If you haven’t read the original don’t judge the story from this book.

Narrator had a whiny voice that killed the characters. Plot may have had a generally good base idea to it but it had a very shallow feel. I truly did not enjoy this book.
