About this listen

A Sunday Times best seller.

The ninth gripping thriller in the classic Dirk Pitt series, where the adventurer finds himself in a deadly battle against the darkest forces of international terrorism.

On behalf of a grateful nation I wish to thank you for this astonishing gift....

The President of the United States had reason to be grateful. Dirk Pitt had unearthed the greatest storehouse of knowledge in the ancient world: the Alexandria Library.

The trail began in a lonely fjord in Greenland. It ended on the banks of the Rio Grande. In between Pitt had frustrated an assassination, rescued a hijacked liner, survived a deadly gun battle and halted an invasion.

A gripping, action-packed story by a master of the craft.

Insert Title Here

It is another Dirk Pitt story, the bucaneering and wise-cracking protagonist. Plot starts with a Egyptian/Roman discovery in Greenland, through a ship hijacking in the South Atlantic, to a mass migration incited by a mad man into Texas. Pretty exciting. The usual characters portray, but the Admiral Sandecker seems to have a more prominent role than usual. Great history lesson, too. But CC got some things inaccurately displayed.

The great storyteller

What a great story. This one just comes at you from all sides. Non stop twists and turns. Scott Brick draws you in to the story by bringing to life so many characters.

RIP Clive Cussler

One of CC best novels. Right up there with Inca Gold, Sahara, and Raise The Titanic.

Every man wants to be Dirk Pitt

The 9th book in the Dirk Pitt series. Every book leaves you smarter than the last. I’m re-reading all 25 books to remember the man. RIP Clive Cussler.

shark jumping fun!

it was like watching mission impossible or die hard... Dirk jumped the shark so many times that it appeared he was walking on water and not the backs of sharks... but it was still very entertaining...
