Story
Before beginning a muscle-building program, it is critical to understand its purpose. Muscle is simply the tissue in our body that provides us with the necessary power to move in various directions. As bodybuilders, our primary focus is on skeletal muscle. What exercises can we perform to improve our bodies and increase muscle? It is critical to remember that each individual has a unique body mass. Muscles must be exercised to be strengthened. This necessitates weight training. You can begin with modest weights and gradually increase them.

Story
If your one of the many people who struggle to reach the rim and dunk over their opponents, don’t get disheartened – because what many don’t realize is that dunking a basketball requires more than on court skill alone. And it is certainly not determined by either your height or your age. In fact, our ability to dunk is dictated by our muscle strength, muscle power, and our vertical jump performance. Which in itself is an extremely positive thing, because these factors are not necessarily inherited, nor are they determined at birth. Rather, each of these factors can be trained independently in the gym and on the court, allowing us to improve our vertical jump height, ensuring we can dunk with ease – irrespective of either our age or our height!

It is widely believed that improving your appearance will lead to success in other areas; jobs, relationships, personal well-being. And while there are some studies which suggest this is the case - for example, because of the biases which are often expressed against heavier people at school and in the workplace - there are others who argue these effects don't last beyond first impressions. The truth is, devoting too much attention to appearances can damage a person's self-esteem.

Story
In The Science of Running, elite coach and exercise physiologist Steve Magness integrates the latest research with the training processes of the world's best runners, to deliver an in depth look at how to maximize your performance. It is a unique book that conquers both the scientific and practical points of running in two different sections. The first is aimed at identifying what limits running performance from a scientific standpoint. In section two, we turn to the practical application of this information and focus on the process of training to achieve your goals.

The training, pacing, and technique requirements are very different from regular running. But this isn’t what triathletes have been told. Fortunately, with the right kind of run training, the triathlon run doesn’t have to be a long, painful slog with a stumble to the finish. Triathlon Running Foundations provides the specific information athletes need in order to feel strong for every step of the run, all the way to the finish.

Story
Famous three-time Grand Slam winner Arthur Ashe pointed out that many in sports fall victim to “paralysis by analysis”. Athletes on any level can experience the pain of overthinking and sabotaging their performance. Blame many traditional methods of teaching and training. How can we train smarter, not harder? If only our body and mind could perform in a way that’s more natural and instinctive. The best athletes have this quality, but many feel it is simply unattainable for them. I assure you it is not.

Has some great suggestions
I thought to myself, how much information could this book have? I was pleasantly surprised. I am by no means a treadmill warrior but I feel I'm pretty adept at it. There were quite a few things I learned from this book. The narrator got the information across without sounding boring or mundane. He did a great job.
