Loved it!

I've read this book in the past, but this is a new audiobook for me. I already loved the story, and Zoe Mills' narration only added to it. I enjoyed the snippets of the other tragic love story the began each of the chapters. Following it and the rest of it was a delight.

Edge of your seat

Although written in the late 1960’s she writes a stellar can’t put it down mystery. Lots of unexpected turns. And a bonus love story

This is a lovely story. It contains just the right balance of fantasy, romance, and mystery.

This story had some odd elements, but writing style and performance were great, but it was a little hard to take some of the story seriously.

As with all her novels this one did not disappoint! I think The Gabriel Hounds may still be my favorite but Thunder on the Right is also such a good read! Ok just read them, it’s worth your credit! Narrator was 10/10!! Excellent.

Great story, some issues with volume irregularitie

Great story, some issues with volume irregularities. The change from one character to another sometimes included strong increases in volume that detracted somewhat from the overall reading. Otherwise, the narration was well done. I enjoyed the twists in the plot and the development of the various characters as the story evolved.

Wonderful

Nobody writes like Mary Stewart today. Have read and listened to all of her books. Loved this one particularly. I always pick up one of her books when my mind and spirit need a cleansing from the speed and uproar of today.

Perfect Gothic Romance

As a fan of this genre and authors of this bygone era (like Victoria Holt) this has everything I like in a book. The narration is exceptional, too. I will be looking for more by the author and narrator both.
