About this listen

I’m f--ked.

The life I have lived for the past 10 years is built solely on lies and secrets.

But I can’t help myself.

I’m in love with two different men. And one of them is my brother-in-law.

He’s my drug. My fire. My addiction. But he’s married to my best friend. And I’m married to my husband.

I’m not ashamed. I have no guilt.

None.

I’m not only f--ked. I’m a f--ked up person.

This is the story of how I ruined my life.

And the life of the one I love most.

worth the read

ive returned and stopped midway through many books lately. this one kept me glued the while time.
I did have a hard time believing for lost of the story that Delaney went from being one person to another, but the book did a good job of wrapping up that mystery.
I really thought we'd hear more about Julian's boss so it feels like that was a plot point that was missed
all in all I loved listening. for some reason the books with affairs keep my interested

So close and yet so far...

Your with her and I’m with him, on the road to nowhere. When friendship and brotherhood stand in the way, the unattainable dream gets pushed farther and farther away.
This new adult college romance leads into life after college. With betrayal, guilt, and friendship built on lies these four characters have a loosely based loyalty to each other.

Delaney and Brielle are close college friends who live together. Brielle considers her a sister and cherishes her friendship with Delaney.

Nate and Julian are brothers. They are a close knit family who share time with family.

Brielle and Nate’s actions stem from a past that’s reflected upon in bits and pieces. The full backstory isn’t exposed initially giving you an uncertainty as to why they made the choices they did.

This is the type of story that will leave its mark. It left its mark on me. Talk about a book hangover. I couldn’t stop dwelling on this story. I would go over and over in my head what would I do differently in this situation? My answer: never get yourself into this type of situation to begin with.

The narrators: Katie McAble is the voice of Delaney and Brielle. Katie’s performance of Brielle’s character was read with perfect tone and emotions.
Ryan Grey was the voice of Julian and Nate. While Ryan has a great masculine voice I still couldn’t picture his voice as Nate’s. His narration didn’t hinder my ability to enjoy this book. I still appreciated having a dual narration.

I ran thru a gamet of emotions the first time I read this and another level of emotions listening to the audio. That push n pull drove me mad. So many opportunities passed by. Just when fate would work in their favor another surprise would be lurking around the corner to steal it away.
It’s definitely a lesson on forgiveness because what some of these characters did in my opinion was unforgivable, but Callie had other plans for them. So I remained patient and waited for the timing to be right for their fated forbidden romance to get the opportunity it deserved.

While I struggled with the choices made by these characters I still found the story. With time as their enemy this couple endured years of conflicting issues before a second chance would ever occur.

Good read. Read each book by Callie Anderson.

after listening to the book Endless Love Letter by Callie Anderson and not being able to get away from the story and put the story down: turn it off, I had to find another story by Callie Anderson. Ryan Gray and Katie McAle do as good a job as anyone else might in narrating the story. The storyline, once again, kept me interested and wanting to learn more. I love the stories written by this author. I highly recommend each book.
The story gave me hope. Maybe, I too can still find love at the age of 46. I’m not sure how the story brought me to this conclusion, yet it did and that’s what counts.
I feel like i know the main characters in the book real well. I’d like to meet some of them. If only life was that simple.
Definitely read each book. Endless Love Letter really tugged at my heart strings and my soul. That one is a must read. Torrid Affair, on the other hand, consists of twists and turns and surprises and changes and events happening between two best friends who basically share two brothers. It’s filled with a lot more physical sex than Endless Love Letter.
I still enjoyed listening a great deal and even bought ear buds so i could listen as i walked around.

Too much angst for a romance

I skipped most of this story. There were just too much angst which ruin a romance. There’s cheating involved but drag on which made it hard to enjoy the story.

Tainted love

This taboo love affair has it's multi layers of deceit and no one is immune to the repercussions.
The flashbacks were confusing in the beginning, but after I caught on I really enjoyed this book. The narrator's certainly contributed to that. They also did an excellent job of acting out the dramatic, and sexy scenes.
This one is definitely worth the credit.

Depressing

There is not one postive thing i can say about this book. Not one likable character. The main female character was poison to everyone she said she loved. The basic plot was unrealistic. The ending was ridiculous.

Actually, I guess there is one positive thing. It is well written and the narration was good. Story sucked.
