About this listen

In Jeff Rovin's Tom Clancy's Op-Center: God of War, after the devastating outbreak of a killer super virus, the Black Wasp Team must prevent America's enemies from gaining access to the most dangerous weapon the world has ever seen.

The passengers and crew on an Airbus en route to Australia suddenly begin coughing up blood and hemorrhaging violently as the plane plunges to the ground. There are no survivors.

A luxury yacht in the South Indian Sea blows up, and a lone woman escapes the contagion that has inexplicably killed everyone else on the boat.

A helicopter whose occupants have been stricken by an unknown illness crashes into a bridge in South Africa, killing motorists and pedestrians.

The world is facing a devastating bio-terror event, and a game of brinksmanship gets underway as the major powers jockey for position: China sends a naval flotilla to seek the source of the plague and find a way to weaponize it, while Russia maneuvers quietly on the sidelines to seize the deadly prize in its quest to regain an empire. Back in Washington DC, Chase Williams and his top-secret Black Wasp special ops team must find out who is behind these deadly attacks before war is unleashed - and millions of innocent lives are lost.

slow

This not up to Tom Clancy standards. Did not keep me on the edge as his books usually do. Maybe I'm just getting old.

Just ok

A little slow and kind of choppy. This is a good book for the sale rack. Definitely not worth a full credit.

Dissatisfied

The story was difficult to follow, and overall I thought it was one of the least favorite of all of Tom Clancy's I've read
Characters were difficult to follow, so I braided it at a lower level than most all the other Clancy books

Not Ryan

It was good, a little stale, and caricatured. The attempt to paint conflict between a team of static characters is less tense than the standard Jack or Jack junior internal struggles

this was a disappointing book,

it didn't live up to the quality of content or reading of the preceding installments.

Terrible performance

I couldn't wait for the pain to end! I haven't heard such a bad performance in an audible book ever!

Not bad and not GREAT

The performance the performance was very weak.. The story was more story and less action than I'm used to for Ops-Center. If this is the new and improved version of this highly successful story, I'm sure without improvement, it's not going to keep me looking forward to hearing more. Bottom Line: More action and suspense, less time setting up for it. The ending was uneventful and the author reunited all the characters, sent them home and closed out the narrative in less than 2 minutes. Where's the hook to me and readers for follow-on story?

sad story

this was by far the worst Clancy I've heard yet. slow, boring, & dull. the story line was week, the characters were slow& not exciting . no emotion boring. the story itself was played out and the teller was week in the portrayal. just altogether a dump truck. don't waste your time with this one. Remember you can't get it back!
