For Lady Sabrina, it's a case of too many suitors…Lady Sabrina Grayson is embarking on her first season, but she's no blushing ingénue. She knows exactly what she wants: a calm, sensible husband very much like Lord Francis Fairford - and very unlike her childhood nemesis, the dark and devilish Henry, Viscount Montgomery. Yet no matter how much she insists that she will not be beholden to desire, the irrepressible Henry insists on kissing her.
Worse, Sabrina can't help kissing him back…Her ardent response to Henry's touch leaves him no doubt. She wants him, not Fairford, or any of the other suitors trying to win her hand. But her determination to land the proper husband may lead her to danger. If the only way to keep the rebellious beauty safe is to compromise her into marriage, then Henry will wage a wicked seduction…and enjoy every salacious minute of it.

A awesome story!

Liana has written a great regency romance with Lady Sabrina as a strong willed woman who thinks she knows what she wants, but until her body is awakened by Henry's kisses and she slowly realises want she wants and what she needs are two very different things.
I really enjoyed the twists of the story and the sub plots that wove around the main story line. For example, the french prostitute which Henry and his friend rescued from Fairfords' home.
Especially how Sabrina took on the scandal and stood her ground to answer it directly or quash it with her actions. Facing scandal in any time period is tough enough let alone in genteel society.
This is a wonderful listen and I thoroughly recommend it with 4 out of 5 Flames to all lovers of a regency romance.
An enjoyable Regency Romance

Would you try another book from Liana LeFey and/or Justine Eyre?
Any additional comments?
I'm only at 70% and I'm going to finish, if for no other reason than to find out about Fairford, but I do wish Henry would just tell Sabrina to go to hell and the book would end there. Good grief, I've never hated a heroine so much in all the books I've ever read. I only gave it two stars because of all the other likable characters in the book.I read Countess so Shameless and loved it! But this one is just too terrible for words. I'm 100% sure Sabrina will admit her love to Henry but it's a little to late for me to like her. I don't mind when hero/heroine can't figure out what's best for them but this just goes on and one with Sabrina screwing up people's lives just so she doesn't have to admit she loves Henry. She was the worst heroine EVER..The narrator did an excellent job.Horrible heroine..

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
I should have taken Trish R's review to heart, as she was correct. The heroine was such a selfish person I did not care what happened to her and DNF at the 5 hour mark.Sabrina used everyone around her and did not care who she hurt. She could have just stopped getting involved with different men and stayed home!
Has To Wed in Scandal turned you off from other books in this genre?
I am not turned off, but will not be reading any more from this author. There are so many good regency romances, but this one did not have romance. It was about a woman trying to deny any romantic feelings, so it is doing a disservice to the genre. What do you think the narrator could have done better?
I sometimes think Justine sounds a little whiney, so I think it added to my dislike of the heroine. The narrator gets a little quaver in her voice that makes the characters (usually female( seeme less confident, even though they are trying to be bold. What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
I was really disappointed. I read the first book and thought this would be better, but it was worse.Any additional comments?
I was a lot more angry at the reader reviews that said this was a good book. Audible seems to place the good reviews first and the negative ones further down the list. The two reviews that said this was a good book have no idea of how a decent person behaves. They do not keep attracting men to use them as a screen for their real feelings. At the same time keeping them from making choices for the betterment of their lives. The heroine was childish and selfish.I also don't like the idea that keeps coming up in regency romances, about female characters that are confident and sure in everything else, but themselves and their sexuality. The heroine allows a great deal of sexual contact with a man she is actively running from. It's a case of smart women, stupid choices, which does nothing to endear the heroine to a reader.
Hated the heroine
