About this listen

My third mission into the depths of the Underground City finds me battling its demonic residents in the Toy Store, level four of the hellish afterlife.

Although my guardian angel, Bill, is by my side every step of the way, Bill isn’t much of a consolation when it comes to fighting things that go bump in the night. Instead, I’d much prefer to rely on the brawn and brains of the two thousand year old Celtic warrior, Tallis Black.

But Tallis is busy battling his own demons…the internal type. Ugh, men.

While in the Underground City, I find herself on the wrong end of a demon’s wrath. A surprising encounter with the Master of the Underground City, Alaire, not only ensures my survival, but also leaves me in the unenviable position of being in Alaire’s debt.

It’s no secret that Alaire harbors this strange and unsettling fascination with me, but I’m more concerned with solving Tallis’s deep and dark mysteries hidden beneath his stoic exterior.

While becoming better acquainted with the master of the Underground City and coming ever closer to unraveling the enigma that is Tallis Black, I can only hope I make it through hell and back.

Sadly, not worth the wait..

Waited so long for this book to be narrated, but the story was completely ruined by the performance. Normally I can settle in with a new narrator, but spent the entire time cringing and am not sure how I managed to get to the end. Doesn't seem the narrator even listened to the prior books to try and get to know the characters, and she mispronounced Lilly's nickname. She clearly did not know how to perform a Scottish accent. Bill came across as flat and just terrible. Not the beloved stookey angel we've come to know.

Almost No Bill

This book was so much better with Bill barely in it compared to the previous books. I like the story on the whole and do not like the bad guy or the minions he has, but the other various characters are interesting. Narrator does a very good job with the entire storyline.

Great book, horrible narration.

I love the books, but the narrorator absolutely ruined the story. She didn't capture the highs or the lows. If it was a serious scene, she was perky. Sad scene? Happy. A very happy narration. for scenes that weren't happy. New narrorator, who actually read the books, please.
