Publisher's summary

*#1 Amazon New Release in 90-minute Self-Help Short Reads*

Our most active beliefs have the ability to heal or not to heal; empower or disempower us. In addition, they can compromise the safety we are meant to feel within our physical bodies. When we feel safe, we invite healing to burn away what no longer serves and refine what does. This allows us to, then, hold space individually for expansive amounts of arousal, peace, joy, love, happiness, and abundance in multiple areas of our lives.

Explore the author's personal--at times daring--thoughts and theories on traditional philosophies while presenting different ways to look at them to promote overall healing, and an empowering, well-balanced view of self and all others.

Great Read

To Heal or Not to Heal by Josef Goodwin really made me rethink what healing actually means. As someone who’s invested in personal growth and supporting others, this book hit close to home. his book challenges you to dig deeper and consider whether healing is always the right move.

He explores the emotional, psychological, and spiritual aspects of healing is both eye-opening and a bit unsettling. He asks questions that many of us might shy away from. Which I found very useful for me. What if our pain is something we need to hold onto, at least for a while? What if it’s a crucial part of who we are and how we grow? These are tough questions, but they’re the kind we need to ask ourselves if we’re serious about understanding our journey.

Another thing I appreciated most about this book is that it doesn’t try to give you all the answers. Instead, it invites you to explore your own experiences and beliefs about healing. His writing is clear and relatable, making it easy to engage with these deeper concepts without feeling overwhelmed.

I love how he touches on the healing of identity, which was something I found particularly insightful. He offers great advice on how we can heal the way we see ourselves and breaks down who God is and isn’t, along with some interesting perspectives on religion. These reflections really got me thinking about my own beliefs and how they play into my personal healing process.

Speaking of overwhelm, he does a great job of checking in with the reader throughout the book. He includes these short grounding exercises that I found incredibly helpful. When you’re diving into such deep and sometimes heavy material, those moments of pause really make a difference. They help you stay present and avoid getting lost in the intensity of the content. Great book and worth it. I listened twice and will listen again from time to time. ❤️‍🔥
