About this listen
Alex knew the risks of revealing how special he was. But at twelve years old, a single mistake brought the world government to his doorstep and shattered his reality.
His mother died that day, and his twin brother, Levi, was gone, leaving Alex orphaned and alone. Now, five years later, Alex is still searching for Levi, determined to rebuild what he’d once had. He’s stayed in the shadows, doing everything he can to avoid the government’s attention. However, just as he uncovers a promising lead on his brother’s whereabouts, he’s spotted by the police. His window of opportunity closing faster than ever, Alex is forced to throw caution to the wind and make one final push in his search. But the government isn’t his only threat.
A dangerous man, even more ruthless than the authorities, has also learned of his abilities. As the walls close in, Alex must form an uneasy alliance with a band of outcasts. In so doing, he risks exposing them and everyone they care about to the same fate that destroyed his family. The stakes higher than ever, Alex is faced with an impossible choice: protect his new allies, or sacrifice them all to save his brother. With no clear path forward, Alex will have to decide whether atoning for his past is worth sacrificing someone else’s future.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

It’s 1984, and life has changed beyond recognition. Airstrip One, formerly known as Great Britain, is a place where Big Brother is always watching, and nobody can hide. Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Story
The age of mankind is over, its empire reduced to a land of rubble and broken roads. Vicious things nest in the old, forgotten ruins, and what's left of humanity huddles in tiny communities that grow smaller every generation. But when a young boy is taken in by an unlikely ally, a glimmer of hope is born. After waking up in a mysterious forest with no weapons, supplies, or even memories of his life before, Dirt should have ended up a barely adequate snack. Luckily, he attracts the attention of a gigantic, curious wolf pup, who rescues him, and they quickly become friends.

The Revenant Program collects badly wounded soldiers broken by war and converts them into unthinking, unfeeling cyborg weapons. Their bodies are immune to pain, their minds impervious to fear and doubt. All controlled by a neural implant called the Imperative. They are the ideal force for any mission too deadly or too difficult for normal men. A force that answers to the darkest corners of the military. But when one of the Revenants awakens, he can only remember two things: that he must fight, and a code name…Dead Man.

What a great ride!
The story felt like it could be a movie. Had a few fun twists at the end but nothing too out of left field. Also pretty cool idea to have a future world forced to go back to using old tech (even by today’s standards). Really loved the characters more than I expected, too, and the ending really got me. Narrator did a great job, as well. Kinda wished there was a romance angle, but I can see why it was left out (story was more about familial love, and romance probably would have distracted from that). Maybe the next one will bring it in. All in all, great listen!

Very Well-Written
Cool, well written story. Great ending. Definitely left me wanting more. Had some political elements that are topical right now, which I really liked.
