Near perfect work though questions remain.

Craig is truly gifted by God. His conclusions of God as timeless before creation and temporal after creation make certain sense. A few questions remain though. As mentioned at the start, time is extraordinarily difficult to define. And unless I am mistaken, Craig does not actually tell us how he is defining time. Even if I missed it, if time were solely defined as movement, or the presence thereof, then time could exist before creation. God the Father's constant emanation of the Son for example is eternal movement. Also, if one defines time as the presence of change, then God's continual thoughts in eternity constitute this change - not in His essence or personhood but as a form of internal state, such that one moment He thinks one thought and another moment He thinks a different thought. Even Craig refers to this last point, though he doesn't tell us why this fails to affect his conclusions. Nevertheless, this is a masterful work.

Fabulous book with clear answers to difficult questions

Bill Craig does an excellent job in summarizing his extensive knowledge and current view of the philosophy of time and how that relates to God and a number of his attributes. I highly recommend this work to philosophers, theologians, and the interested layman alike.
As usual Dr. Craig’s work has left me edified and feeling filled up on meat instead of the endless, useful but un-filling, milk. I only hope the rest of his works are on audible.

Well written and argued

Filled with great depth of thought and research. Very logically organized walkthrough of difficult topics. Hard to tackle subject matter, but the clear writing helps significantly. I hard to listen on .7 speed for most of it.

Beware!

I have wanted to read some thing from this author for a while, as he is very well spoken of.
I was not prepared for the way that it exceeds my intellect so much that I couldn’t even glean anything from it.
It was a very dry and arduous book to listen to.
I am interested to see the shape of the person’s head came in gauge with this topic and discuss it.
I don’t know how any of this information really can bolster my spiritual life.
I need to check out books a little more carefully!
