Romantic Comedy

This is a modern day Romantic Comedy version of Aladdin and the lamp. An antique dealer is in love with the governor's girlfriend and doesn't know for a few days that he releases a genie from a magic lamp he found and also the carpet.

Delightfully romantic

The narrator did a wonderful job with the various characters and accents.
I’d say this was a mystery romance as well. You think you know where things are headed but then it takes a turn. However the ending will surprise and delight you.
Things get a little steamy but only briefly!

Cute twist on a classic

A fun read with distinct characters.
Obligatory sex scene was unnecessary & didn't fit the rest of the story.
Ended a bit abruptly, but overall a light twist on an old tale.

not bad but not my favorite

i like the story was a easy listen but was just normal. great build and plot just i cant put my finger on it. but would give it a thumbs up.

Started out great but ...

I thought the premise was really fun and the story started out great. However the sex scene was too graphic for my taste and it involved cheating. So the book ended up being a big disappointment for me.

I enjoyed most of this book. Half of chapter 13 could have been omitted and it would have made the book so much better.
