Nice historical

The story was good the characters were likable . The narrator was okay although some of the male voices were nasally and annoying. Why does the heroine always believe the nasty b*tch who tells her trash? I don’t know,one of those mysteries of the romance novel I guess. Just once I’d like the heroine to turn around and say “ listen up b*tch mind your own da*mn business” 😯

The readers voice just couldn’t handle the main characters male voice for me and took away from the story.

Enjoyable but it could have been even better.

I really enjoyed this audible book. I do wish that the story had gone into greater detail and that the characters and relationships had been fleshed out even more.

fantastic

this was a great book of how people can change for the better and learn from their mistakes. The hero ( which he was not in the beginning) really becomes the man he could be if he has the right woman and is allowed to be a better man
Lucien in the last half of the book is a great hero and proves his love . Both the h/h go through very difficult time to get their HEA and you really see how they gro as people and together.
I was not expecting this to be such a good book, but it has led me to reading more Debra Mullins. A new favorite author.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book and all the characters…. The story is unique and promising!!! Definitely worth the read!!

I Am Finding Out That I Am A Prude

Seduction of an innocent is repugnant to me. Especially when accompanied by the words "tell me to stop." I usually skip over those parts. My reaction to the lead male and the description of the lovemaking in this story was totally different. I actually liked him from the start and she was no shrinking violet. I just loved this book and all of the main characters so much that I will listen to it the way that I listen to "The Duchess Deal." The narrator was new to me. Once I increased the speed of the play back her narration perfect. You will like this book.

The story is wonderful. My only complaint is that I did not like the male voices. 👀

hmm Count of Monte Cristo much?

A lot of similarities to the above mentioned story including the chess piece. But if you can forgive that, it's kind of sweet.
