Critic reviews

"Matthew Hope, the suave Florida lawyer, is back in the latest of McBain’s series of cynically titled nursery-rhyme and fairy-tale themed novels… McBain is an undisputed master of the genre - slick, wry, and satisfying." ( Booklist)
"It’s hard to think of anyone better at what he does. In fact, it’s impossible.” (Robert B. Parker)

Cultural prejudices

Rape, cultural prejudices, marital infidelity and greed. Mathew Hope combines being a good attorney with great mental thought. Would enjoy book better if he quit bed hopping. McBain great writer.

Interesting

Pretty good...a little repetitive but I enjoyed it. I would recommend it...I think I'll look into the rest of the books in the series
