As she investigates with Stone - the aging prosecutor relying on Kate to see and hear what he cannot - she realizes that nothing about the case - or the boys - is what it seems. Grant wasn't who she thought he was, and neither is Stone's prime suspect.

great

perfect mystery, one of the best books I've read in a long time. great author can't wait to read more

Enjoyable Read

I really enjoyed this book. It held my attention without being outlandish. Some of the female narrator’s southern accent was a little cheesy at times, but overall it was a solidly believable and entertaining story. I look forward to listening to more books from this author.

I really liked this book

This book kept me guessing until the very end. I literally did not know “whodunit” until it was revealed.

I think the narrator struggled a bit to get the accent right (I’m from Louisiana so am probably pretty judgey on that lol) but I eventually got used to it.
This is my 3rd Ashley Elston book that I have listened to and I will continue to follow her stories that she writes.

A solid story!

I had forgotten what it felt like to read a good solid story. Since covid I have been reading a series that is dull and predictable. But I've stuck with it because I want to finish what I started. The last book had me so bored that I decided to switch it up.

I am so glad I did! This story had just the right amount of suspense and mystery to satisfy me. the characters will well-rounded and I was completely immersed in the story. I love when I cannot figure out who the killer is. It had a little bit of love and a whole lot of mystery just the way I like it. I might check out some of this author's other work.

This story is about a group of friends and one of them gets killed. Nobody is talking throw in some entitlement as it always happens to be with rich boys and a little bit of romance and you got yourself a good story.

Overall, A Pretty Good Listen.

This story held my interest even though it’s categorized as a young adult novel… the narration could be tough to take at times, but I couldn’t do better, so I try not to judge. The story wasn’t the most compelling, but it held my attention and I did want to keep getting back to it to find out “who done it”. Overall, a pretty good listen.

Super Twisty / can’t put it down

Great character development and I was legitimately surprised multiple times. The narrator has a great voice and the story builds nicely.
