Typical fae romance BUT worth the read!

This book is your typical fae story: girl hates fae, fae take her away, girl falls for fae men, girl stays there. BUT there are several twists and turns that may not have been SUPER gripping or groundbreaking, made for a fun, cute read! It definitely had me saying "oh that's interesting" or "wow didn't expect that" especially towards the end. The main character was likable and relateable. The fae men were as expected. I couldn't pick a favorite, one minute it was Finn, the next it was Bash. It was easy to read and a fun, quick one for me!

Wanting more!

Love triangle galore. I feel like this book tried to fit too much world building into it. While I enjoy well developed fantasy worlds, I want to make sure that I understand them without feeling rushed through. Honestly, I’m a shameless lover of love triangles. This one, with all its twists and turns, feels like I want to know more of the story in the second book!

Overall, I am buying the second book today, just to continue consuming the storyline. I wish the series was longer and more in depth. So excited to find this new author!

Perfect but betrayed

Loved this story but stuff happened that I don’t know how I will feel about in a month when i can listen to the second book perfect read something I needed to throw me back in after a truly heart renching but another perfect read cruel beauty really got me to continue in my current readathon

I left a longer review on the second book of this series, but I definitely recommend! I loved it so much and really wish there was a 3rd (or more) book! I couldn’t listen fast enough lol

Fantasy romance with a dash of spice

This book is perfect for readers of fantasy romance who enjoy a dash of steamy scenes. I would describe it as a fae bachelor mixed with a magical quest—two tropes that I find can be a lot of fun. Other tropes include 1) poor heroine and rich hero; 2) love triangle; 3) making deals with fae; 4) slow burn; and many others. If you are looking for heavy smut, this probably isn't the book for you. This was a delight to read, and I look forward to reading the second installment.

Stiff narration, but have patience!

I had trouble getting into this book for a while. Mostly because the narration seemed stiff and like the narrator lacked confidence. But the narrator really comes into her own in the second book. And I think that this book is worth getting through in order to read the second. That probably isn’t something you’ll want to do if you lack the patience. But if you do have it, I think you’ll find yourself rewarded with a great story.

I thought I knew

as much as I enjoyed this I thought I had a really good idea of what was going to happen. but several times including the ending I was gobsmacked. I honestly have no idea what to expect in the second book. but I am so excited to find out. excellent pacing character building in this book.

Loved this book! Many twists and turns. Loved the performance of the story too! Can’t wait to start the next book in the series.

Casey was a perfect narrator for this. Loved her voice and I really think she did a fantastic job.
