About this listen

It was Blessed John Paul II's greatest gift to the Church: the theology of the body. A window into who we are, the theology of the body is a theology for the rooms where we make love. But it's also a theology for the rooms where we work, where we eat, where we laugh, and where we pray. These Beautiful Bones takes you on a walk through those rooms. With both humor and practical wisdom, it sheds light on what the theology of the body has to say about life beyond the bedroom, about the everyday moments of life, helping you discover how to let grace enter into those moments and make of them something extraordinary.

Truly Excellent

A worldview that is all but lost, but oh, if we couid return to it! This little book gives an insight to the sacramental life that is desperately needed not just by Catholics, but the enirety of Christendom.

Not just for Catholics

I was so moved by this call to the sacred worldview. Really helps to have the author read her own work.

P.S.- Don't skip the acknowledgement! Especially the last sentences.

Dirty Hands / Clean Souls

"These Beautiful Bones" is a wonderfully accessible and practical examination of Pope St. John Paul II's masterwork "The Theology of the Body". The late Holy Father's work is dense and often daunting in itself. That's where this book by Emily Stimpson comes in ...

One of the best things about Ms. Stimpson's book is its great conversational style in my opinion. She explains JPII's work in a way that the "regular guy/gal" can not only understand, but see themselves really desiring to live out in their ordinary day-to-day way of life. In a special way, I found the final chapter about living faithfully in our current over-stimulated/distracted technological world, an excellent conversation starter. People are hungry for this stuff!

This is a great book in my opinion. Ms. Stimpson shows us how the great "Theology of the Body" can be lived out in even the most mundane aspects of the human life and relationships; how ALL things done with love for God and neighbor are like steps in an unimaginably beautiful dance of between God and man! I will be recommending this book to friends, family, and anyone seeking a clear guide to the everyday sacramental worldview.

Wonderful!!!!

This book is incredible, and not just for Catholics! I'm so happy I bought this and plan to listen again and again as a constant reminder of how we should be living in the the way God intended our bodies to be used.
