I Love This Thought-provoking Time Loop Mystery!

Alex Woolf's The Year I Lived Twice: A Time Loop Mystery was so engaging, thrilling, and exciting that I didn't want to stop listening to the audio. Can you imagine having an opportunity to repeat your life after the death of someone you loved and lost? This story did precisely that. In 1983, Alex lost his baby brother, Archie, in a fire. Jason found himself in a time loop when he fell off the ladder while placing the Christmas star. Archie was alive; this time, Jason vowed to make a difference by spending more time with Archie and ensuring his safety from the approaching day of his death. The narrator skillfully portrayed each well-developed character. The story was full of twists, turns, and suspense when that day arrived. Amidst the looming danger and the unveiling of secrets, the most thrilling aspect was the apparent possibility of Jason reliving that year through another time loop after Archie's 2nd death. This is an audiobook you will want to listen to. It will be with me for a long time.

Great Time Travel Book!

This book hits the nail on the head! The plot is really impressive with a brother traveling back in time to save his sibling. And the thing I like about the book is how it’s realistic with its time travel concepts and how we don’t realize the ripple effects of each decision. That’s what makes this book such an interesting read!

Totally fun listen

This time loop idea has been used in books and movies lately, but Alex Woolf has a fun, interesting, and unique way of doing it. There are no spoilers, but it's definitely innovative. And the narrator is fantastic. Good one!

Engaging story

The story has a lot of mystery and a good description of what the relationship between the siblings is and how the dynamic changed after the death of one of the brothers. I love mysteries and I enjoyed how the character navigates his brother's death to unveil a lot of events. What I found hard to get used to is to the voice of the narrator as the narration was kind of dull throughout the story. Overall the story is good and it is worth listening.
