About this listen

A psychological thriller for readers of The Good Girl and Girl on a Train, The Wrong Sister follows a woman with a troubled past whose search for the truth is fascinating, chilling, and ultimately horrifying.

Sometimes a perfect stranger...

From behind the wheel of her car, Tess Kincaid glimpses a woman walking down a Madison, Wisconsin, street. They've never met, but Tess senses an undeniable familiarity about her. Hair color, square chin, wide-set blue eyes... Tess sees the same features every time she looks in the mirror.

Is neither of those things.

Intrigued, Tess introduces herself and discovers that she and her doppelganger, Mimi, have more than appearance in common. They even share the same birthday. Mimi - confident and outgoing where Tess is understated and shy - is convinced they're twins, separated shortly after birth. Tess, who's felt unloved and unmoored since her mother disappeared years ago, only knows that there's more than coincidence at play. And when a body is discovered in a local marsh, Tess is entangled in a search for the truth that will prove fascinating, disconcerting, and ultimately terrifying....

Great book but the performance by Angela took it over the top. Perfect . Definitely a recommendation.

Great book... even better performance

The plot twist was good but it took too long to get there. I was bored for 85% of the book.

Took to long to get there

Like the characters and I was thrilled that I didn’t
Figure out Mimi the other sister until the end.

Surprise Ending

Like others, I wanted this to end a different way but was really surprised by the ending too! The lead character Tess was hard for me to take at times but you soon figure out why she is the way she is. There are instances in the story where the details seem to bog down the progress but still I found it engaging.

While the narrator was effective she isn’t my favorite and I kept hoping she’d sound better, her performance would get better. Don’t let this hold you back if you are interested, she does a good job to get you through it. I’m reserved on reading or listening to another novel by this writer but that could change.

Interesting psychology thriller

Overall I loved it. I really did. The reader did an excellent job. She literally sounded like another person when she changed voices. I mean you can always tell if it’s the same narrator or not but I would think, now and then, “wow how does she do that? And the story...it was so good. I really hate reviews that give away too much so that’s all I will say about the story itself. However, I did think about it for a couple of days and have not started a new one yet. The better the book the longer it takes me to start another one. I like to savor it awhile if anyone’s picking up what I’m putting down. I recommend it. I’ve already shared it with a couple of worthy bibliophiles ✌🏽rock on you glorious bitches

Loved

T. E. Woods has created a fairly entertaining novel with some twists, turns, and interesting characters. A woman meets another woman seemingly coincidentally, which is nothing unusual. The unusual part is, the women could be her identical twin. It seems her sister-ish figure starts to stalk our heroine and shows up at her apartment and at her job unwarranted. The book gets to be a bit creepy, but then the author gives way too many hints to give away the ending.

I would recommend this novel to those who like a light, easy read with a little twist. I'ts not a bind bender, but it's not terrible.

3 stars all around.

WOW - Amazing

The book took until at least the halfway mark to really get going. Beginning was a drag. I found the main character annoying. The plot was interesting once it picked up and the end was a twist I didn't see coming for once. Not a bad listen but I wouldn't spend a whole credit on it.

It was alright

First of all I thought the narration on this book was superb. She delivered the lines of the characters in a way I could picture each one. And the dialogue was intriguing, sometimes funny, frequently chilling. THE WRONG SISTER is one of those “listens” that made me not want to stop, and each time I had to, I couldn’t wait to start listening again. There was some frustration on the ride to the conclusion, but it all made sense at the end.

Th

Somewhat twisty. Different. Not amazing but worth the cost of a daily deal. Unique ending.
