Mostly good

This story started out strong and I really thought it would grab me , which it did until the end, which sadly I seemed to have lost the plot. I wished the author had explained the papers that were found. I mean mystery is good, but this didn’t quite do it. I did like the narrator.

Plot was intriguing and interesting twist with modern day witch tale. Characters developed well through their writings/journaling. Loved the history and modern entwined.

Whoa

This was such an in-depth and harrowing story. I saw myself in each one of the characters. Even the beast. I think it’s sad commentary on the treatment of women throughout the centuries and the things that we do to survive and carry-on. This was a really really good book.

Nice thriller

This book is very intriguing and has many different perspectives to it which is enjoyable.
Elements are “creepy” but look else where if you’re looking for horror

I loved the idea of the story. and I followed it but it was a little confusing at time 2nd times the charm lol ♡

Very Good

A uniquely constructed and beautifully performed novel.
I truly enjoyed this unusual and super creepy story from start to finish.
I love when an author turns everything upside down, when you start off seeing things in one way and finish the book with a totally different or unexpected perspective.
This is done masterfully here.
The narration is exquisite; excellent performances all the way around.
Certainly worth a credit.

Wow. This was a super interesting read (listen.) Narrators we’re solid. Storyline was intriguing, even if both the mains were hard to relate to. I really did enjoy it.

Expected creepy witch thriller got decent Gothic Horror

Performances were great..so glad they had multiple narrators as it really helped distinguish the different characters.
The story was good though felt a little dull in the middle. Ending definitely picked up though. I thought the end wrapped things up pretty well while also leaving you questioning the overall sanity of certain characters. This felt very much akin to a classic gothic horror novel then a modern horror thriller as it was very emotion and relationship driven with elements of the supernatural so I felt the scares and horror were sorely missed. A good story nonetheless but wish there was just a bit more 'meat on the bones'.. pun intended...

Pretty good

This house had the potential for a good story: a creepy old house, a haunted well, dark forests…but it lost me at the end.

Loved the performance! It brought the story so much life!

This story was eerily fabulous! I loved the intrigue that was present and it kept you guessing even after the end!
