Unsophisticated Writing
This audiobook wasn’t terrible, but it was not well written - especially the storyline. I am usually understanding of an author taking some artistic license in adding improbable pieces to a story when it is necessary. Sometimes it is a good decision to write improbable scenarios to add some intrigue and substance. But…. SO MUCH of this story was improbable and shallow, I am left wondering if the author was just lazy. I was able to listen to the entire audiobook, so that’s a small positive, but it was far below the standards of other crime/thriller novels. This one wasn’t thrilling, suspenseful or surprising in any way. The narrator was okay, but not great - and her speech mannerisms and tone were annoying at times. I wouldn’t recommend that anyone use a credit for this one.

The Christian agenda
It was a good book and then about halfway through there are all these religious references. It really had nothing to do with the book, but the author must’ve felt it was necessary to pretend it was a Christian based book. Random and misplaced. Also, after it was referenced multiple times, it never appeared again in the rest of the book.
