About this listen

Where do you begin to put back the pieces of a shattered heart?

"I'm letting you go today, it's time."

Finally, Sadey is ready to say goodbye to the only man she's ever loved. With the help of Shame and Mace, she's learning to breathe on her own again; one day at a time.

Her hopes are high and her world is finally coming into focus - until someone from her past comes back to help her heal, bringing with him more heartbreak and confusion than she could have ever believed possible.

Ace loves her. For six months, he's watched her suffer from a distance. He knows it isn't his place to see her through this, but no matter the risk, he can't stay away.

"Sadey, I've missed you, okay? I've thought about you. I've missed being here. Do you understand that? I've missed being around you, touching you, holding you, and laughing with you. I missed you before I even left town that night. You chose Hem. Not that it was any kind of competition, but you were with Hem. I was never even given the consideration."

Emotions are high as further truths of betrayal are exposed, leaving everyone to pick up the pieces once again.

Loved this series

Found another of my go to authors to watch out for. Loved everything about the two books. Characters were great.

You must listen to me!!!

This is the second book in The Lights of Peril series. This starts where Holding On ends.

How will Sadie go on without her soul mate?
Will Shame and Mace make it without Maces glue?

This story continues to make me cry every time it’s read or listened to. There are parts that make my jaw drop even though I’ve read this sooo many times. This series is my go to series when I need a pick me up.

The narrators make the story come alive. They become real.

Wow...

I am left with joyful tears as I finish this book. The author has captured the personality of these characters and the steps in life that made them who they are today. The live and love hard. I also LOVE the Ernest Hemingway’s quotes in the beginning of each chapter!

The Way Home

A heartbreaking, gut wrenching, emotional, but OH SO beautiful journey to go on with these fantastic but complex characters. This is only the second book I have read from A.C. Bextor and it wont be my last. I love the uniquely wonderful writing style and the way the story pulled at my heart strings, captivated me from the beginning, and kept me on my toes till the end. I absolutely loved this story. Cannot wait to read more.
Aiden Snow and Lidia Dornet are perfection! I enjoyed listening to them bring this story to life.

Great story.

Lots of drama and sex. Honest feelings about the return of the dead. Loved that Hem's child count ends up the way it does.
