Good book, but not my genre

I really like post-apocalyptic books, but I don't enjoy super-hero or "special powers" type books. That's what this is. I suspected it, but I gave it a shot for about 8 hours . . . but gave up. It was very well written, and if I liked that genre, I think it would be a great book.

A surprising Sci-Fi fantasy

While the husky tones of the narrator had it's challenges to over come, the store is well worth it. Creative and fast pace you will enjoy the detailed world's. Although a better name for a planet could have thought up.

This is a heck of a deal

Four amazing books in one. This is Chaney at his finest. It's not as fast paced as his other stuff, but the world building and development is better than almost any book on the market. I don't know where he gets his imagination, but he might be the most diverse writer in scifi working today.

Sound production was difficult

Wonderful voice, but the production quality was lacking. Possibly too much bass in the mix.

Chaney does it from the get go.

Going into this one I was a little bit spoiled because I was introduced to Mr. Chaney's works with the more fast paced Renegade Star series. So I was a little bit put off by the slower pace of this one and it took me a while to get into it.

That being said, I love this story. The character development here gives you an intimate insight to all of the main characters and makes you care and want to see what happens to them next.

The story itself has a little bit of something for everyone. It's an adventure, a love story, science and techy, spiritual. Everyone can find a place to feel like they're a part of this one.

My only complaint is the epilogue. I was hoping for more detail about what happened after the story ended. I feel like the main character was kind of tossed to the side.

All and all: It was brilliantly written and superbly performed. Bravo Mr. Chaney and Mr. Barnes...Bravo.

Amazing unbelievable great story

This is one of the best stories I have heard cents I have the gun reading sci-fi. JN Cheney is amazing the narration is lacking somewhat but it is still a great story.

Good story, good narrator

The story moved along at a pretty good pace. I enjoyed it and I enjoyed the narrator.

Great book with an original concept!

I really enjoyed this story and the narrator really hit his stride by the second book.
