I Felt Like a Part of Their Lives & Struggles

I really enjoyed "The Time of My Life" already being a Patrick Swayze fan. Listening to how he developed the characters in the movies I love was a lot of fun. I did not realize however, his inner struggles with "voices" he calls them constantly belittling every accomplishment he acheived. How he overcame obstacles is encouraging and a life lesson to anyone who has had to give up one dream for another.

Love love

So inspiring,how he overcome so many setbacks and injuries,Depression,Alcohol abuse. Incredible story,I wish he had more to tell. So so sad he’s life was cut short.

Excellent Read

Hearing Patrick Swayze’s voice again years after his passing was incredibly touching. This story of his life was intensely interesting. I must admit I started listening to it after seeing Dirty Dancing for the nth time. I was curious as to what was going on behind the scenes with the complex dance moves and wondered just how the leads pulled it off.
Unfortunately, this book is not about that..,it mentions the movie and the whirlwind that followed. It is so much more than behind the scenes stuff. There isn’t much of that about either of his two major movies, Ghost and DD. This book gives insight into who Patrick Swayze was as a person and his relationship to his beloved wife, Lisa. I was pleased to listen to a book that is heavy on career and relationships instead of digging up dirt. The only dark parts have to do with his drinking and that is about it. It is a very upbeat book from a man who triumphed over many disappointments and always pushed himself to be a better person. It is a great read. Sad, we as the fans and audience, lost him too soon. My heart goes out to his soulmate and wife, Lisa. They were a team and this book seems to be his love letter to her. Rest In Peace, Buddy.

I would recommend that anyone who wants to understand who Patrick Swayze was, the depth of his determination and talent needs to listen to Patrick himself tell his story.

I loved the story about Patrick and Lisa transporting their latest carpentry job by motorcycle.

This is his only one.

It made me laugh and cry and smile and contemplate and want to watch everything that Patrick Swayze was ever in.

Enjoyed the honesty

Who knew Patrick Swayze was so accomplished. I had no idea that he was so talented in so many different areas. Really enjoyed this honest memoir.
