Who is Jesus Christ? In this way, Jesus can be seen for the universal teacher he truly is - someone whose teachings can embrace and be embraced by all of us.

What a breath of needed fresh air. This book was written in 2008 BUT it is more important than ever to read it now in 2020. I am listening to this book for a second time, immediately after finishing it. Deepak gives us historical information based on scripture. He takes that same scripture and gives us practices to implement it into our lives. And then he clarifies the hypocritical nature of the fundamental church and followers to what Jesus actually taught. Finally, he tells us what we can do now to support Jesus’ teachings. The only disappointment is that Deepak DID NOT read this book. It is beautifully read, but as a student of Deepak’s, I was hoping for his familiar cadence.

eye opener!

especially for an old Bible thumbing fundamentalist interested in enlightenment. learned a lot and enjoyed it thoroughly. I'll be listening to more of these.
