About this listen
The Complete Trilogy: Join Tessa, Ash, and Calder on an epic journey in these award-winning YA fantasy novels.
In Book 1, Dreadmarrow, sixteen-year-old Tessa Skye, a locksmith’s apprentice, loves to shapeshift into a sparrow using a windrider—a forbidden magical amulet. During one of her outings, she accidentally reveals herself to the Conjurer Lord Fellstone. The tyrant sends his knights after her, resulting in the murder of her father. Driven to reverse his fate, Tessa and her two companions embark on a perilous quest seeking love, revenge, and a cure for death.
In Book 2, Gravenwood, desperate to cure her mother of the delusion that she’s a bird, Tessa appeals to the conjurer lord in neighboring Blackgrove. Everything goes wrong, however, when he takes Calder hostage and refuses to help until Tessa and Ash bring him the Gravenwood. They set out to steal this magical tablet while romance blossoms between them. But none of them may survive the treachery of the rising despot—unless Tessa can conquer her inner doubts and unlock the secret to becoming a true conjurer.
In Book 3, Kingshackle, Ash is missing and must be found. Confounding the matter, the Conjurer King Slayert launches an attack against the remaining free cities. Saving the world falls to our three heroes, who reunite to steal Slayert’s own crown, called the Kingshackle—a magical artifact that makes him invincible. But their success depends on Tessa winning the King’s Challenge, the ultimate test of her intelligence, valor, and heart.
“Celebrates life and love the way only the best fantasy tales can." (Kirkus Reviews)
“(Benedict's) prose is crisp and purposeful, charged with feeling, and always attuned to what will engage readers in each moment.” (The BookLife Prize)

Story
This is the way the world ends...for the last time. It starts with the great red rift across the heart of the world's sole continent, spewing ash that blots out the sun. It starts with death, with a murdered son and a missing daughter. It starts with betrayal, and long dormant wounds rising up to fester. This is the Stillness, a land long familiar with catastrophe, where the power of the Earth is wielded as a weapon. And where there is no mercy.

Ian and Vic are brothers. Their lives are simple, and while they might long for excitement, happiness can be found in a hard day's work, a sunny day, or the smile from a pretty girl. Their lives are turned on end when their village is attacked and they are taken as slaves, destined to labor under the watchful eye of their captors. The strife that had long dominated much of the world had found them. Things would never be the same.

Story
I’ve made it my mission to be useful to my pack. As pack enforcer, I’m fast and strong, but when the time comes to bond with my mate, it isn’t enough. Rejection means lone wolf status and isolation from the pack. But when a package arrives with an unexpected inheritance, the pack that wants to shun me suddenly has a new use for me. Turns out, I’m the proud owner of a house in mysterious territory, rumored to be home to a pack of beautifully twisted shifters. Hawthorne Cove is impregnable to Lycans, but not to a half-human like me.
