About this listen

The New York Times best-selling author Donna Grant returns to the highlands in the third book in her sizzling Rogues of Scotland series, complete with breathtaking romance and the enchantment of the paranormal.

A man consumed by rage

Stefan Kennedy was cursed by a gypsy and sentenced to a prison of darkness and despair. A hell that only served to feed the monster within. Unexpectedly released from his mystical cell, he’s engulfed by fury and overcome by his need for vengeance, until a beautiful and caring woman unexpectedly tames his inner beast.

With just one touch, she makes his rage fade away. Stefan knows that he owes it to his friends to find out what happened to them after their run-in with the gypsy, but the mysterious and enchanting Morvan may be a temptation that he cannot resist.

A woman's magical touch

Morvan has always been a child of the forest. She spends her days using her unique gifts to calm and heal the animals she encounters near her woodland cottage. But when she finds herself compelled across clan borders to a mysterious cliff with a wall of strange etchings, she’s helpless to resist.

Somehow, Morvan magically brings forth a stranger seemingly more beast than man, yet despite the inherent dangers, she's driven to help the handsome highlander. While his appearance in her life may end up shattering the peace she’s worked so hard to find, he could also prove to be the man of her dreams.

This is an all-new, never-before-published novella.

Third story of the four friends

The magic of the gypsy who imprisoned the four friends is beginning to show the reason. Two hundred years and they are each finding love. I really like the Scottish accents of the narrators. I'm looking forward to the last book.

So good!

I went into this one without any research and wow it was much more than I expected. I was so into the story that I had to look up the other novellas in the story and buy them. The narrators did a amazing job. I highly recommend.

enjoyed it

Would I listen to it again: yes
Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Was I invested in the characters: yes
What did I like about the story? good pace and interesting characters, although they don' t show a lot of depth (but that's not unexpected of a book of this length). It's interesting to watch the different personalities of the characters and see how their actions effect the others.

The third in a series of four highland friends cursed until the time comes when they can overcome their demons. Although it can be enjoyed as a story on it's own, it's better enjoyed knowing the other friends, and the overall story arc I expect will be revealed in book 4.
Stefan is the fiercest of the four cursed friends and consumed by rage, Morvan brings light to his dark and can bring him peace, but it means giving up is quest for revenge.

Great Narration, not just alternate chapters read by the narrators, but Zoe reading Morvan's lines and POV and John doing Stefans - loved the scottish accents ❤ Both narrators bring life and emotion to the story for an enjoyable audio experience.

Great story!

This author and narrator’s are new to me. I enjoyed listening to this audiobook. The narrator’s do a great job with the characters and voices of each character which makes it easy to distinguish between the characters.
The storyline is well written. I enjoyed and recommend this audiobook.
