About this listen

No longer under the protection of the president, the Project has gone private as an exclusive consulting service available to select clients. A powerful Japanese industrialist hires Elizabeth Harker and the Project team to find a famous sword lost in the aftermath of WWII.

It looks like a straightforward assignment. Then people start dying, and Harker's team is pulled into a web of murder and deception that began centuries before in feudal Japan. Why is the sword important enough to kill for? What secret does it hold?

Forced to defend themselves against a fanatical enemy, Nick and Selena follow a trail of blood to Japan. There they find themselves in a mythic confrontation that can only end in one way - death.

The Sword will keep you listening into the night.

Alex hits it out of the park, again!

The Sword is another great action-adventure story from Alex Lukeman, and marks a transition from the Project Team to the Harker Group, an intelligence consulting firm.. Set in Japan (and the US) the story takes us through a non-stop ride involving Samurai, Yakuza, politicians and corrupt civil servants. I lived in Japan (Fusa) for a year, and Alex does a great job describing the country, culture and mysteries of that exotic land. The story also delves into the changing lives of the central characters, and their desire to leave all the danger behind. The Sword was a surprise, as Alex had previously announced he was suspending the series, but this book marks a great return and I sincerely hope this won't be the last we see of Nick, Selena, Ronnie, Lamont, and the rest of the team. Please, Alex, give us more!

The Sword

Nick and the team are back in action after some idiots threaten his and Selena's twins. The Job looked like a straight forward easy money maker for the team, Selena translating some old papers about a sword but once she is done this powerful Japanese guy hires the team to find the sword mentioned in the papers. Easy right? Not for this team there are always unknown obstacles to hurdle.

This is a wonderful addition to the Project series and stands up to the high standards brought about by the other books in the series. It is action packed and full of suspense like the other books but I love the different history brought in by each book. If you are so lucky to have gotten the audios narrated by the wonderful voice of Jack de Golia than you too will feel like you are there along with the team and helping them. This team has become family and I so love hearing of their exploited like you would after seeing a cousin and catching up after a year or so.

Couldn’t stop listening!

I hope it’s only rumor that this is the last book in The Project Series! I feel like the characters—especially Nick and Selena—are old friends. It is rare to find a series, especially an action/mystery/adventure one, that has such strong, impressive female characters like Selena and Elizabeth. Jack de Golia does such a great job bringing all of Lukeman’s characters to life. I thoroughly enjoyed every book!

Artifact of Japan

The team of OP’s has gone private, a Japanese man hires them. Plot of finding the samari sword, to stop the destruction. Good characters and action. Given audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
