Really good!

This book is most definitely YA but as an adult, I still really enjoyed it. The characters are both likable and easy to connect with while the plot is fast and compelling. Narration is also great!

Interesting start

Who was your favorite character and why?

I really like the female lead. She exhibits the overall teen experience of trying to find your own identity.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I did enjoy this book even though it was written for a young audience. I think Audible should have made it a little clearer, that this book was written for young adults.

Can't wait to listen to the next book

I bought the next book as I could not wait to hear the remainder of the story. The narrators voice kept my attention.

Love this series!

I picked this up orginally back in 2007 or 08, back when the Twilight series was in full swing, I couldn't stand those books, but saw this and decided to give it a read. Fell in love with the characters (except the villains and Tori) right away! This version was well spoken and I hung on every word! It was like reading this for the first time, all over again! Definitely going to get the other volumes.

Joy to read again and again

I love this book this is probably at least the fifth or sixth time I read it I read it for the first time I was in junior high which is probably the age of this book is for even though I am 24 reading it again. Anyone who likes supernatural this is a good book series for you. And I love how it combines up with another series later.

No ending

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The ending was a random stoping point. It would be a awesome story if the end had been thought out.

I liked the story most of it was interesting.

Yes I could see it being made into a TV series.

Favorite Series

darkest powers and darkness rising series are my absolute FAVORITES to read. I want to listen to the Audible books but I cannot afford the $15/month. I was wondering if there is a way to purchase Audible books WITHOUT being a member

Surprisingly good.

The first part of the book almost lost me, but a bit into it it got me back and ended up being a really good book.
