Past and Present Intertwined
This was a story of something that happened in the past that intertwines into the present pretty well. References old money and new money. It was entertaining kept me listening and interested. It was hard to know which era you were in at times. Definitely worth the listen though. It was included in my membership!

Intrigued the whole time

Boring and unbelievable
This story never managed to make me care about the characters or even what happened. The premise was also ridiculously unbelievable. Despite it being a free listen and the narration being pleasant, I regret listening to it.

Great story and flow
I liked the ability for the author to hold my attention and keep a storyline moving with varying levels. On the performance, there was a tapping sound like a door closing the whole time. I listened to the book so I think something was off with the recording, but the book itself, and the story was great.

The suspense
I love the suspense, the storyline going back-and-forth between the decades. The families. I could just imagine the two houses. Well told enjoyed.

Did not keep my attention
Unlike the other reviews, it did not keep my attention. I thought it was boring and felt it dragged. The narrator was great. Loved the Australian accent!
